If people are causing an obstruction with their parking report to the police, if it isn't an obstruction then you have to wear it and return fire.

Several years lived on a new estate. We had a chap over the road with a Vecta. Two car garage - pretty big driveway... But only he was allowed to use it. His daughter had to park on the road. As below... We lived where the Japanese SUV is - she used to park alongside their garage... I had a Volvo - not the best for turning circle...

I snapped in the end, which is why she now parks on the other side of the drive...

Thats ticking all the boxes for awful new build estate, but are the two motorhomes parked or just get lost?
It was a bit estate'ish - but it was quite a nice place to be really.

The motorhomes were not normally there. one chap wrote reviews on them. The other kept theirs somewhere else... Google car hit lucky that day.

The house I live in is probably 80 years old? Not new build.

The type of house where you can't drill through walls and drill bits break off.

It used to be a field back in the day like everything else I suppose. Each house is different on the street, no house looks or was designed the same. I suppose house developers had a certain charm back then....

Linking this to the "car or house" thread .... my one specification when we moved was "no bloody neighbours". Which is why I drive a 16 year old Alfa 156 rather than something flash. On the plus side, I can park my fleet of Italian wrecks anywhere near or around my house and no one sees or cares about them.

I had this a few years ago & despite talking to the people who had just moved into the house that their cars & van was making life hard to get in and out of my driveway they continued to park opposite.
On one occasion of asking if they would move their van, a transit builders van, the guy took it upon himself to get aggressive & made sure all the neighbourhood knew what type of person he was.

In the end it was easier to widen my gateway & let them play their silly game.

Eventually they moved away & normality returned.

Sadly the new tenants of the house have decided they don't need to park their 3 cars on the drive/garage & abandon them wherever they see fit, including over another neighbours driveway entrance.

The width of my gateway is now sufficient that it doesn't bother me getting in & out now but shows a total lack of respect to others.

Pics or a diagram please.

I have someone park opposite too even though they have a 2 car drive. 1 car having being worn since it was bought. It's not too bad getting on and off the drive but it's a busy road and reversing off the drive is a bit of a pain.
Reversing IN may be more sensible?
Not the way the cars drive up and down our hill. Plus the fact our drive is only the size of 2 parking spaces so it's a tight fit and it's also on a slight incline !
We have lived here 14 years and I feel much safer driving forwards onto the drive.

I've had one person overtake me when I was turning right onto my drive once but because it's a 7% gradient people drive up way too fast.

That sounds a lot like a good argument for reversing IN - when your car is more visible - than reversing OUT...

Not really I can drive straight on.
If I reversed I'd have to drive up, stop point the car towards the house opposite then reverse while hoping someone doesn't hit me.
At least reversing off the drive I can see both directions
