Boxster 986s alarm keeps going off - help!

I have a 2001 Porsche Boxster S - its a great car, but the alarm keeps going off. The neighbours are getting annoyed and my wife is embarrased to take it anywhere as it is garunteed that the tannoy where ever we are will burst into life with "could the owner of the boxster.....".

I understand that plugging into PIWIS could pin point the problem. Does anyone in the wiltshire area have this? A nice bottle of wine or champagne to anyone who could help with this as it is getting very embarrasing.

Think you can lock it without arming the alarm by rapidly pressing the lock button on the fob 3 times - you can on the 987 and 997, check the book

I had this problem when I first got my 2003 3.2S. In my case it was due to the glove box not closing properly!

I just had to push the lid down hard to make sure it was properly shut. It took Northway to explain the problem to me - not sure if they used a diagnostic tool or not.
