Evening all, myself and Mrs epom are looking to go on a decent holiday this summer. Interested in Hawaii or similar. Decent budget, not monsotrous but not small either.
Herself doesn't want to go to any areas that might have Zika, so rules out a good few.
Any input appreciated. Cheers.

was in Hawaii last year. Wasn't that keen on it to be honest. Pretty much just expensive resorts and not much else around. The rest of the place was like a third world country with chickens running around etc.

If you do go, you could fly ex-dublin in business class for around £1500 which should make the journey more bearable.

Japan. A far more diverse, interesting, historic island. You can do everything from lazy tropical beaches to mega cities to 1000-yearold buildings to snowy mountains to mental Jap cars.

Although, Hawaii is brilliant if you wanna see volcanoes and lava.

Hawaii every time. We have a place on maui and go most years. The people are so friendly and the pace of life suits us.. Great beaches and food.

Thanks all so far, admittedly haven't really looked into to it too deeply yet. Was hoping someone might just post a link for something cheap but wonderful on here smile

Went on honeymoon to Hawaii 5 years ago, really enjoyed it. Only went to Oahu due to time limitations, but would love to go back for a longer visit. We stopped over in San Francisco on the way there, and L.A. coming back.

Our 10 day trip cost £3300 for two people, staying in good hotels (e.g. Trump Waikiki Beach), put together our own trip using Skyscanner and Expedia type sites.
