Mixed feelings on it, yes they deserved it but two wrongs don't make a right, Karma, maybe.

What are the chances of a tiny female cyclist ripping the wing mirror off a transit with her bare hands...?

As for the ped driver calling them scum, way to much of a setup for me, he doesn't have the balls to actually confront them when they are doing it but when they would be pissed off over the mirror he pipes up?

Shame, the usual lycra keyboard warriors seems to be all over this thread already. Its like they are one persona.
Are they?? Where? confused

All I can see are people in support of the woman with even the poster suggesting that she perhaps she shouldn't have reacted that way starting his post with "I'm torn" as the guys were such tossers...

I think most people will be on her side tbh.

Some comments on that Daily Mail article are beyond parody. There was one which broadly said it wouldn't have happened in the old days when ladies knew how to behave.

Strangely no mention of the red light jumping by the van driver (and using the van to intimidate) at the beginning, which if it had been the cyclist jumping the red light would have probably crashed the Fail's servers.

The bicycle in this story was completely incidental, not something you can, or should, all stick your flag on. It would have been the same if she was simply walking.

Isn't going to stop you making it about cyclists vs drivers when its actually about mouth breathers harassing a woman. You've completely missed the point of this video because you are so blinkered.

Just get a life!
Where on Earth did you get any of that from the posts above?

I think you're the problem mate, trying to start an anti cycle post!

He does it every time there is anything about cycling. I'm starting to think his wife left him for a cyclist or something like that.

The Police are all over social media looking for bs cases like this unfortunately.
Are they really?

I've been a police officer for 10 years and I'm yet to find the department that actively looks for crimes to investigate on social media.

We cant even manage 999 calls so there's no chance of an office somewhere with police officers in trawling social media looking for crime.

Good on the woman but risky move

It's all fun until the van driver gets out with a hammer or a knife. Not something I'd have done, especially in London.

I had an incident where a cyclist took issue with my cars position at a junction (I had to hang back to see round a tree rather than stick the bonnet out into 40mph traffic) and he punched the side of my car and stuck his head in my window swearing, he cycled back the way he came but didn't bank on me being quite a good runner and I caught up with him and asked what his problem was, I wasn't going to start a fight but one day he will pick the wrong person. The look on his face as I forced him to stop was classic.

BTW I'm a keen cyclist too so see it from both sides, although in this case being a cyclist has nothing to do with it and the sexist pigs got what they deserved.

Is anyone able to find the original video? (must be in HD).

I could only find this on youtube. (better then giving DM clicks).

You can see at the start of the video when the biker turns the corner that the Van is stopped behiind the cycle stop area then decides to drive forward (and towards her). utter bottom feeders.

She could have torched the van with them in it

Where do you draw the line?

On the assumption this wasn't staged....

Whilst I don't like to condone vandalism/criminal damage, it really serves them right, no-one should have to put up with that. Reminds me of this thread:

Fair play to her. The only thing funnier than the video is seeing the immense struggle people are having trying to stay perched on the fence with their replies. laughlaugh

She's clearly quite fit and was in full fight or flight mode with loads of adrenalin. It wouldn't have taken much to lever that big mirror off the van. Had the driver got out, she'd probably have knocked him to the ground too.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes this is the only language certain people understand.

Good on her.

my take. neanderthals in a builders van shouting sexist remarks at women. Happens everywhere and i'm glad they got totally shocked by her reaction. Had it been the other way round, i.e 3 chavvy birds shouting at some good looking guy, who then chased them down and ripped the mirrors off, I'm pretty sure the guy would be in big trouble.

You're probably right. But how often do groups of women insult random blokes and threaten them with vehicles?

I'm equally surprised that a bike rider in London wearing shorts and vest in the middle of february. Global warming anyone?

That made me chuckle. I've lost count of how many cyclist vs car encounters I've encountered in central London where the driver made only one mistake, being stopped in traffic in the wrong time and place which somehow inconvenienced a militant cyclist trying to beat their best time on Strava. I'm glad I don't have to drive to work.

How sexist of you to assume their sex mate. Get on with the programme or you'll be done for discrimination.

The minute they actually touched her they crossed the line in a big way and deserved what they got.

How anyone can stick up for the total scum of the earth such as that, I have no idea. Hopefully they will think twice about being total s in future.

To the person saying if it was a woman in the van, lets be honest, the likelihood of that happening is slim, some men (often in vans, in manual jobs) are total aholes. The same ones that shout things at people walking down the street, its pathetic.
