Hi All,

I need to run a video signal down a fibre optic and am struggling to find some transmitter/receiver pairs of converters. The camera can be either standard Def composite analogue on a BNC or HDMI and it's to be a simple monitor on the other end, running on ST2 fibre connectors - you would think this was easy but there seems little in the UK that isn't full on broadcast stuff or SDI inputs. Ideally to be simple plug n play boxes as it's not techs doing the work... We used to have something that did this 20 years ago and used them in the middle of fields, now it seems hard!

Any ideas?

Beat me to it CR.

Just need to check what flavour fibre and terminations the op has, but there are plenty of adaptors if needed.

What's your budget? Have a look at Kramer. I use a lot of their kit and it's always reliable. Should be able to get a pair of these for £300 if you shop around.

Or this for HDMI.

You'll need the receivers as well.

Thanks guys, that was further than I had got and is very useful - the HDMI will probably be from a GoPro so I'll need to get an adaptor to the micro-connector if we go that way rather than analogue.
