I suspect all those who were keen to get their hands on it will be slowly wondering whether their money is safe...in 2019, it's highly likely that there will be much more exciting stuff around.

Maybe because normally a team should have a production car of the model they're racing...

Well... to be fair Ford lied to the organisers about the performance of the car at Le Mans.

In practise - you have to give it 10/10th's. Ford deliberately didn't.
The Corvette team went from top to bottom due to Ford and Ferrari lying.

The idea is that all of the cars in that class - lap at very similar lap times.

Even with the ballast penalty - Ford took the piss.

Have no respect for them.

I didn't think the Competition Series was news? The differences are even in the main version of the owners manual so it's not like it was exactly hiding?

It is news to those who did not know. That does not include those selected for the opportunity to buy, as this competition spec has been available on the buyers option tool from the start.
