On the subject of ECP/CPFL is there anyway to browse all items on the website? I'm looking for an inline fuel filter of a certain dimension and would like to just be able to browse all but it just asks for your registration then shows limited results.
Yes, it's a complete PITA looking for parts on their websites. You usually have to put in a reg number, then if you want to look for something completely unrelated to that car - say 5w30 oil - you cannot find it!! Even doing a search for 5w30 sometimes yields nothing.pits said:
They're the same company though, except car parts 4 less sell the really st stuff ECP doesn't, if ECP are poundland, cp4l are B&M or Buyology
I priced a LUK clutch kit and flywheel for a customers Honda 2.2 from the local factors< he ordered it from carparts4less, paid including Vat less than I could get it trade excluding Vat, and when it arrived was the same genuine LUK parts.imagineifyeswill said:

This is one of the problems the local ECP branches have - sometimes they can't match the price something can be bought for from CP4L online including delivery. ECP are like the "haggle" scene from Life of Brian - never, ever, accept the first price they offer something at in their local stores: they can always do better if you haggle. The company culture is still basically a market stall which is why there are always 20 prices for the same item.

I don't understand how ECP can make a profit when posting items, you can order 5 litres of screenwash and have it delivered by a proper logistics company yet the postage will be more than the part.

There not... Trade customers are leaving and to keep them there offering very health rebates or circa 20% per month along with free 199l of oil. There service is crap and most parts are sub standard or used in a box. On the subject of ECP/CPFL is there anyway to browse all items on the website?
