Im guessing this is a full carbon fiber bodied car, on part metal tub, race tires and 800+hp it even has a heavy roll cage and can go that fast on a video... wow... Time for me to get my Tricycle out, fit a go pro, get some editing software, take the stabilisers off ( cuz i have race technology! ) and do a 4min lap!

Ill post the proof so its official rolleyes
And so it begins...
Didn't he say a similar thing about the 918?
Had it have been a Mac he'd have said it had a full tank of fuel two up and with holiday luggage(-:

I'm sure it's possible to miss the point even more than you just have but I'm not sure how. Anyway, I'll go get a doctor first to help you relocate your head back to normal as its current location is clearly making you grumpy.

The positioning of the sun for that lap can't have helped - was just horrible in places.

Looked like a very good lap - much less on the limit than some I've seen.....no 'ooh that was a bit close' moments at all that I could see. Hell of a car. As long as it isn't now unusually on the road of course wink

To crack that time and have room to spare with no 'shiiiii....' moments is incredible. Great, great driving

Everyone knows you can't even fit hand luggage in a Huracan let alone go on holiday.

Track "optimised" car with full race team in attendance but a great time and even better stunt and bit of PR work.
Well done Lambo

That is a stunning lap time & I for one didn't underestimate the effect active aero made on this time after watching mark Higgins fly around the Isle of man (in an admittedly primitive form of active aero) & cracking out a stunning lap that had me eating my words.

Keep in mind that this car is built off the Audi R8 chassis and then made smaller, so its even more stiff- and with a cage its got to be off the charts. Likely a lot stiffer than anything from Mclaren...

Quarter of a tank of fuel a lap.
Hadn't noticed that! Blimey.

Could've gone a bit quicker if they'd started a with less fuel!
It's about 4mpg, not bad for a 5 litre V10 getting absolutely spanked.

Remember this?

Does anyone know who much impact the reprofiling of the Flugplatz section and the removal of the bump has?
More than enough to make any comparison like this between old times and new ones irrelevant. I've not been there since the change, but people I know report not having to use the brakes there anymore (where previously that used not to be the case in their cars). With any speed carried there going all the way down to SX..... wink

A truly astonishing lap demonstrating how far the boundaries have been pushed with the advances of technology. It'll be interesting to see how far Lamborghini can push forged composites into integral (chassis/engine) applications rather than limiting to trim pieces.

So will this force McLaren and Ferrari to reveal the P1 and La Ferrari times? It'd be interesting to see if they're quicker.

Enjoy the glory while you can it will be short lived.
Shame the press and ring cars will bare no resemblance to customer production cars which is always the Italians problem.
Like I say it was "optimised" for that track time but we all look forward to you posting a sub 7.00 min time in your own car in due course ( sorry typo meant sub 9.00 min )

Could someone here with the ability highlight where on the lap he could have made up 0.02 of a second please.
This, please this!
At about 5:15 into the lap he is briefly one gear too high before dropping to 4th.

Hell of a lot easier to 'optimise' turbo charged cars, such as... ooh I don't know... McLarens for example...
