Pure sick but in a bad way.

Looks like a poor attempt by someone in a shed.

Just don't get the love. frown

Nice. Was always a fan of RUF's work, but this is something else.
The engineering alone that goes into something like this is special, and something to behold, never mind a low curb weight car with driving at its core, which you might just be able to actually use.

Well done RUF, well done.

I love it, but I don't get it. Where does the line between a replica and something like this get drawn? As far as I can tell reading the article it's an entirely new built-from-the-ground-up car, but clearly heavily resembles an existing manufacturers car (if not sharing the exact same dimensions as far as much of the bodywork goes).

I think it's the absolute bees knees- if I had the dollar I'd rather one of these RUF cars than a boring 991 GT3 type modern Porsche from the factory.

Yeah. Think I'm with you in this one. I like a 911 as much as the next guy, but if I were undertaking a project of this scale, why not go for a completely bespoke design.
This is an homage to a 30 year old car which was already a 20 year old design when Ruf started tinkering with it.
Is the 911 body shape really the apex of car design?

Nurse, my pills.

Automotive perfection cloud9 I think 911R values may have just taken a dent; conversely original Yellowbirds will be even more in the stratosphere.

Now please excuse me, I have an appointment with Stefan Roser.

Fantastic. Not a fan of retro models generally but if you've got the CTR in your back catalogue, then why not!

Has Stefan Roser still got his slip ons?

Not much Pork remaining on that - looks like a space frame chassis clothed in 911 body

In my opinion yes, this is as good as it gets (especially for a fast 911 fan). Absolutely awesome piece of work. How could you not love seeing the coil-overs through the back window before jumping in. 1300Kg x 750HP. What a car!

I think it is stunning, an inspiring re-incarnation of the original, with modern day performance, which is not to say the old car is slow even by todays standards

Because its a truly iconic and unique design which has been massively popular for over 50 years.

Lovely. A staggering amount of work/engineering in this & just look at it.

I'd have one in a heartbeat.

I know this is a boring question but how does this work from a copyright point of view? Would Porsche not have an issue with RUF copying the exterior styling?
Lovely looking thing and would have on in a heartbeat!

That's what RUF do, just take porsche bodies and go nuts, they're recognised as original vehicles with their own VIN and serial numbers

Hello, is that RUF?
It's about your new CTR. I'd like to buy one please.
How much is it?
Oh... Um...
I think I should probably discuss with my wife. I'll call you back. *click*
