As a repeat Alpina owner I am a little biased but that will be an awesome piece of kit. My car was £117k new 9 years ago so seems good value when taking in historical prices of Alpinas. If the right boxes are ticked you could probably add £15k to the starting price though without trying too hard.

The one featured is probably nearer 125k in that spec.

Don't expect the new M5 to be much less than 100k

It won't be far off that hence the introduction of the M550i to fill the gap as the M5 does up a level in price.

Lovely. Good to see the Alpina take on the G30. Agreed they are different to M cars but not as different as they were 10 years ago. Love the B8 but, heretically am waiting for the new D5. 400hp rumoured and huge torque. Should be a monster. De badged touring for me in Alpina blue. With a lad - which was standard on the f10. Now an option?

The monster is the car in the article not a diesel one with over 200hp less.

About the same as an RS6 isn't it?
If so that's also ridiculous hehe
How've much do you think the original owner of your E61 550i M Sport + options paid?

I doubt BMW will make an M5 Touring so this could be the answer for a lot of people. Id also wait for the D5 though! A 2nd hand D5 Touring in a fews years could be a nice replacement for the D3.

If £ for £ then the B5 beats he D5 every day of the week.

125mph in 11 seconds. Very Impressive.

That is a very hot wagon. The M5 will have to be seriously special to top that.

£100k though yikes

On a BMW? No.
On an Alpina? What percentage have you got off RRP on a brand new Alpina?

Everyone over there ---------->>>>>>>
is fapping and fawning over the Mcl 720S.

This Uber Barge has nigh on the same power output as the new Supercar on the block.
This Uber Barge has nigh on 600kgs more weight than the new Supercar on the block too. Pause on that for a moment. 600kgs. That's just over a 42% difference in weight between this and the 720s!

I'm curious to know too

25% is easy on a bmw but I haven't heard of Alpinas being discounted

25% off down the line, even then i think youd be hard pushed to get an M3/M4 new with 25% off.

Also everyone clamouring for a 2nd hand B5, but is anyone actually willing to buy one new in the first place smile

Or, something from the used category if £100k is to much for the wallet....
