Was going so well with the blue.... then swayed over to the monotone side.

Still, if I was able to buy such a car, the S wouldn't get a look in. GT for me every time.

As a daily that might escape some unwanted attention now and again, seems a reasonable spec.

Dan, my only comment would be have you travelled in a GT with a lighter interior, the reflections of the "parcel shelf" in the rear hatch are quite off-putting (ala light dashboards). A dark/black rear deck would mitigate it, but then again, compared to the near zero rear visibility of most such cars ...

I think its a shame they don't to a GTS or a GT with S pack which should contain the full 570 sports exhaust and ceramics, and option of the more hardcore 570 suspension set up. Then you get some of the noise back in the car!

I like the silver - personally I think orange would be cooler callipers - odd that its red calipers they steered you towards dan.

Also the Tan seems somewhat darker than Ferraris tan.

Very interested to see Dans monthly updates on the GT!

While orange is a core McLaren colour, sorry but not everyone likes it and although there is a Halford feel to brightly-coloured calipers, especially behind dark-coloured wheels, they won't be as bad in red as they may be in orange.
Perhaps I am in the minority but I feel that any piece of orange on a car absolutely ruins it. You can go about many if not all original McLaren racers being all in orange, I still think that's a ghastly colour for any aspect on car. As for orange trim, please hand me a plastic bag...

It's the reason they offer the options, it's because people have different tastes. The GT should be more subtle than the 's' in keeping with it's softer nature, but there is still some room for a little splash of excitement on a car with such potential. Think of it like that little flash of red on the sole of a supermodels louboutin shoes.

Yes, but my point was to echo a possible reason why the dealer did not let Dan spec orange calipers, and I take from it that the majority of potential subsequent buyers would not want orange calipers, at least considering the others colours chosen on this particular car.
