some want to know now. See Andy's post above. It's common enough.

An excerpt from an email from the dealer "a very hostile environment possible affected by stone’s & road debris flicked up by the wheels, although it should be able to cope with this"

In short the car is going in and will be repaired FOC. I could care less what anyone thinks. The dealer agrees with me so that is all that matters.
When it's the same again in another 6k miles, what are you going to do then?

Why not fit mud flaps to the front arches?
One of the first things I do to a car when I get it is fit them to minimise body work damage, even my old 911 has them.

Do you have to be so bloody argumentative in all of your posts? every second thread on pistonheads features you with multiple posts where you are taking an anti OP stance just for the sake of post count.

Wow this thread is full of sanctimonious pricks isn't it? Jesus effin Christ!
I'm with the OP to be fair, for the plastic to be scuffed in that short of time frame then I'd be annoyed too. They should have made it out of tougher material if it's in the firing line - I don't have damage to these parts on either of our cars.

This forum seriously is the pits nowadays frown

Precisely what the dealer admitted 'should have been able to cope'. Many thanks Mr Egg smile

Unboxed err 1 hour ago. I'm not dishonest. I don't break thinks and claim they are broken. It transpired that the ash ring and catcher were also bent. If you look again at the paint damage it hasn't been dropped-look at the location of the defect. Something has bashed it.
