If you want to be pedantic, maybe you should be pronouncing the J as a Y?

I drive a Jaguar. But i can't say Jaguar. I either say Jag or Jeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.

I occasionally work in a Mitsubishi showroom. Even some staff there say Mitsubushi

It's not bushi FFS!!!!

My late father was a domineering b...d & envious of my modest success & material possessions including a couple of nice cars & my late mother a dreadful snob.
One day they turned up at my home in a nasty cheap SEAT which with a vindictive sneer I referred to as a 'seat' knowing full well that SEAT is pronounced SEE - AT.
