I've always been a fan of a daft wing and big arches, so I love it.
But then I grew up in the Max Power era.

As an engineer by training, I respect that every surface has a purpose; but to me the overpowering aesthetic impression is one of a parody of the genre.

I think in isolation it looks the dog's danglies. Just think driven on your average B-road it looks a little ridiculous. Also defo a "all the gear, no idea" vibes.

Massive disappointment. From a distance I saw a super rare Beetle RSI but not able to get a better look.

The next day I was in the same area and lo and behold saw it parked up.

Closer inspection revealed it was not the real deal and is a measly 2.0L with some body kit

It is the complete opposite of the Bristol further up!

I see what they were going for though. I think it's quite good, but a miss overall.

If it were an actual RSI cloud9

indeed. The day before I spotted it from a bus in the pouring rain so you can see why it piqued my interest. The poor RS chrome stick on letters in front of the rear arch was rather naff.

I didn't notice those letters, then I spotted the LEGO tag on it, what's that all about?? and the chrome headlight add ons, then the 911 rear spoiler lol!

I think less tat and it would be better smile It has potential.

They were only made in silver weren't they?

I mean, I know you repaint or wrap it but I don't think RSI's ever hit a point where they were worthless so it's unlikely someone would mod it like that. Bet the OEM wheels were worth a fair chunk as well.

I saw this trundling very slowly through central London (near Buckingham Palace I think) when we took our eldest to the Natural History Museum a few weeks ago.

Looks like an Ultima trying to be a Bentley Le Mans racer. There’s a similar custard yellow one that drives out on the roads not far from my house occasionally. Cant decide if I like this or if the decals and OTT Bentley badges make it a bit naff.

On the plus side, the exhaust was loud enough to make my chest vibrate as it accelerated away to about 15mph laugh

That's really quite sad tbh badging an Ultima up to look like a Bentley racer. Its a 20yr old kit car with a 5.7 pushrod v8, accept it for what it is.

However, as much as it is great to see either of them out in the wild, both are awful looking cars in their own way.

I think even from a distance, disregarding the colour, it would been obvious it wasn't an RSi.

When the distance is about 500m in the pouring rain...from the upper deck of a steamed up bus (I hate buses but we have to use them at work to get around this dump of a place)

Maybe just a fun tribute to Bentley when it did a roadtrip the Lemans? - that was my first thought...

... and everyone hate taking stickers off.

Yes all silver except 1 blue car which was built for someone but I forget who
