If they've already been sold, who cares about the dribble of pictures for the next 2yrs? This sales method pisses me off.
just better for the brand to create hype and excitement

Here is the picture enhanced to show it better, I think it looks great:

Almost like a modern incarnation of the XJ220 from that angle.

I'm getting old. Increasingly I'm looking to the past for my dream car kicks.
Same here. I have an increasing urge to buy an old Porsche 964 and hot rod it.

Family and finances will scupper that for a while though hehe

Looks good from the little we have to go on. I just hope some actually get driven rather than just stored away as an investment.

I don't understand why they're only making 106 of them. I know that's how many (first gen) F1s they made. But I read somehwere that they claim they could have sold them three times over...
Don't worry, they'll tell fibs to the first 106, then announce a further 106 Spiders.

Ooh, I'd forgotten about that. Maybe they'll have a few track only GTRs. And some LTs.

To be powered by a 4 litre twin turbo V8 that isn't almost identical to the one in the 720S, honest.

Difficult to tell what it'll really look like from the squiggles on a fag packet drawing but fair to say McLaren are making some stonkingly good cars so I'd expect this to be right up there.
If however I was looking for three seats across the front thrills I'd go for the original and the rarest.
Nope, not the Mclaren F1..........this one!

Xj220 has similar arse , love it. Countachs had unusual back ends , for me that's what makes a super car super

Is your name down chap?

Love the idea, this looks like it's a vertical exhaust like the 918, with a very low (and therefore likely to work even better) diffuser.

I love virtually all things Mclaren, although was disappointed with the Sports Series cars - not what I'd expected based upon what Mclaren originally stated. I thought we might get a smaller overall car, non turbo but with the Mclaren only interconnected suspension.

Still can't understand why they're bigger than the 12C/6xx series cars...

Did see a 570GT today in Chichester, bloody lovely looking thing - and importantly the better half thought so too.

Yep, in the carpark behind M&S.

If you're local, happy to meet up for a beer sometime and talk crap about cars!

That VW is far more interesting to me - I still hate that they didn't make it. Completely stunning looking thing - total efficiency is as exciting as total performance in many ways - would have had one in a heartbeat.
Your in luck

Every modern McLaren looks like a fancy Toyota. They need to lock their designers up in a garage with their old car and let them stare at it for a week. There is no reason an "engineers car" can't look great.
