Not done a handbrake for over a decade. I was always st at them anyway.

Wheelsman? Last week in the wet. Crap Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. Still lit up on a four wheel drive equipped car in the wet.

Most of my vehicles don't have their handbrakes on the rear wheels, so fairly pointless even trying.
Do it in reverse, you 'tard...hehe
And for the one with the handbrake in the middle?

my 2 previous Land Rovers had transmission brakes, so pointless trying. My current range Rover is too heavy and the handbrake too ineffective, I feel.

I did get quite good at going them in our gliding club's golf buggy when running errands around the airfield, much to the CFI's annoyance hehe

Last burnout must have been around 2008 in my trusty old S14, that thing would go sideways all day long. Happy times.

Definitely. Clearly as a yoof I did my share of experimental handbrake turns and cars with drums were much better;)

The last one I did was a month or so ago when there was a light dusting of snow around the Cotsworlds.

I restrained myself for most of the drive to work but caved in when I arrived at works car park. With just a couple of cars parked in an area about half a football pitch it was asking for it. Entering the car park a little bit sideways & guessing where the spaces were a tweak of the handbrake was applied to whip the back aroundbiggrin. (even if it did mean parking nose in)getmecoat

Ooh, when we last had some decent snow in Bristol, so maybe two/three years ago?

I was going to work and taking a friend in as well.
Saturday AM in the car park: pulled handbrake and ESP wasn't having it. Disappointment. No second chance as a couple of people were behind us.

Sunday AM (again with friend in the car who now thinks the car won't do a handbrake turn): ESP off, pulled handbrake and the back swung round nicely. I only had to reverse about three feet and I was in the space properly as well!

That one took my friend by surprise as he was on a phone call at the time hehe

As per the question, when, why, and was it any good ?

For me, last night in our C1 as I needed to turn it round and thought why not, was on private property so all legal, went quite well, good handbrake on them.

Perhaps throw in Burnouts and J turns as well.
You got the arse out on the CLS? How's it going with the brute?

Last night - empty hotel car park, hire car, picked a spot and tested my skills to see if I could get the car into it in one go. I somewhat succeeded - ended up almost perfect in the spot behind the one I'd wanted, but a win's a win. Looked happily at my efforts and then went to the bar.

I don't know how to, and even if I did I wouldn't dare try it in my own car...

Every time I get a courtesy car from the local garage. Citroen C1. Brilliant for handbrake turns on our gravel drive. Kids love it. Although my youngest did tell the garage owner last time, which was a bit embarrassing...

It drifts pretty well with the ESP off, very predictable, with it on it just lurches and lollops around, going very well thanks, new android head unit fitted and cured the oily smell, just changed the oil separator and other blanking plug on the back of the engine, they weep onto the exhaust. Was thinking of changing for a 55 engined car but too much expense with uni fees and lots of overpriced tat out there that needs three grand spending, will keep the CLS as it is such a nice example that is running well, will get the uni stuff done then treat myself at 50 in three and a half years to a biturbo 63.

Same here, turned traction off and pulled a big handbrake / 4 wheel drift into the yard.

Can't handbrake the VXR8 as electronic, but left a lovely 11 in Sainsbury's carpark early one Sunday morning last year after using the cashpoint. The 11 was there for a couple weeks too biggrin

Last handbrake turn (that worked) was in my ST24, i tried one in my golf slowmotion but the car just sort of gracefully slowed down and turned normally.

I was too precious about my Focus ST and my Z4 has an electric handbrake and needs no extra help getting the tail out anyway biggrin

Last wheelspin was about an hour ago in the work van. You have two choices at junctions, stall or wheelspin.

I have never done a J-Turn so i would like to hand my man card in at the nearest avalible location.

About 2 months ago, a Saturday morning, deserted iced over works car Cark and I arrived in the works defender. Last time I tried it in the snow in the defender nothing much happened but this time it went quite well.

Before that about 8 years ago on one of those corporate tally experience days in a fwd rally prepped Lancer, I even had best handbrake turn off the day. Strange thing is I never really did any in my teenage years.
