Worst Car Colours

Purple
Personally I like white.
Plenty of cars look nice in purple. Audi do a few nice shades, albeit in the expensive Audi Exclusive range. Personally I like white.

The problem with colour is that some people will like a colour while others won't. Black, grey and silver are inoffensive even if few people really like them. Most people PCP their cars where colour doesn't affect the value of the car at the end of the agreement, few sell them privately which is the only scenario where colour is likely to make a difference, yet people are obsessed with the idea they have to choose monochrome for resale value.

I dunno, pale half arse yellow looks amazing in some applications:
Old man maroon is simply dire on most cars - Sapphire cosworth being the only decent one I can think of
I did preface my statement with Astra (it only sprang to mind as I saw one a week before and it really doesn't work on the car very well).Old man maroon is simply dire on most cars - Sapphire cosworth being the only decent one I can think of
Gizlaroc? that Merc looks good in that particular shade of brown, I picture bad brown as the flat much darker shade that you normally see floating in a toilet.
I'll add carpet slippers (Frost) blue that you see on Jaguars -
I think it very much depends on the car although some of the dull looking greens and browns don't complement cars from what I've seen. My mum's neighbour has bought a Subaru Forester which used to be quite a cool car but the newer model looks like a generic SUV and they picked metallic brown!!
White is now 'the' colour for most people and some cars do look great in it, other cars look really chavvy. An RS Megane suits white and being a fairly rare car stands out in a good way but the average mum tank just looks a bit gash.
Black can make a car look stunning, when it's clean which means for 5 minutes after you wash the car it looks amazing, then dusty! Also on some car shapes you lose certain lines and details so black is dependent as well.
I'll be honest, I quite like deep or bright metallics on interesting cars.

Those saying Mercs don't look good in red are just wrong.
I rather them in red. The new C Class Coupé looks really nice in red and I wouldn't turn down an SL/S/AMG GT in red either! hahaAnd I used to love my old W124 in Barolo red.
Maroon is a good candidate for the very worst.
I can't say I can think of a good example of gold either.
I disagree on Frost blue, though, I think it's a nice change from the ranks of black/grey/silver cars.
Personally I think silver, on most cars, just shows a complete lack of imagination (it's not called 'resale silver' for nothing).
White can look great (For about 5 minutes!)...
Red is a favourite colour of mine, but doesn't work on all cars, I'd agree.
