You're wrong either way. The pack costs the same, regardless of the trim and you get the chrome on all models.

SE comes without chrome window surrounds. You do get chrome on the grille, but that's standard on pretty much all Audis.

Interested to know a ball park price for this type of job, planned next car is standard with chrome window surrounds and I'd be much happy with black and I don't think it was even an option when new.

The SE version if mine still had the chrome window surrounds. Same with the A3 and pretty much any Audi i've ever seen.

I think the chrome looked better. The grill now looks like it is cheaper and doesn't seem to have a distinctive edge. Sort of looks like it has been squashed into place.

The current 8V A3 SE doesn't have chrome window trims as standard pre or post facelift.

I know Fletch and Sammy well at PnG plus they're just around the corner from where I work which makes it handy. Decent lads and good quality work. Yeah I had the wrapping done there. Sometimes when I need a quick spritz, I'd rather spend a tenner at one of the other car washes. It's cheaper and a lot quicker.

That might be the case on the new A3 but it hasn't always been that way.

Yeah, they're good lads. I've been going for ages now. Was going to get mine de-chromed there but they're always really busy and dunno if i can be bothered spending the money on it now.

I see what you mean but i don't really do quick washes anymore. I just get it done properly or not at all and i don't really trust anywhere else other than PnG now.
