Used to see an old lady roughly mid 70's driving an R33 GT-S, haven't seen her or it for about 3 years+ though

I parked up a few cars down from a Honda Civic Jordan edition earlier today. Appeared to be in great condition with a couple of period mods and Spoon exhaust.

Just as I walked off to do the shopping, the Civic was unlocked. I looked over expecting a lad in his '20's or '30's but it turned out to be a guy who looked to be in his '70's.

Good on him smile

I think I can trump everyone else. How about Peg:

The car is the 1914 French GP winning Mercedes.

OK, so she doesn't drive it, but is the riding mechanic. She leans out on corners. In other cars she pumps the oil pressure and oils the camshaft at the same time. She's magnificent.

"Mummy, where's granny?"

"On some hillclimb, keeping the oil pressure up in a 28-litre car."

And badass? The FIAT S.76 is bad out of every orifice.

She rides in Geo. Windgard's cars, a well-know feature of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

A remarkable woman.
I think I can find a higher trump:

Anne Thompson, who owned till recently owned and competed in a 1906 Darracq. Oldest remaining GP car, first car ever to take a chequered flag, Malcolm Campbell's first "Bluebird". She knew how to hustle it, too.

She's since sold it to Rod Millen, and moved on to something gentler:

I stand corrected.

My nan was rolling round in a Vauxhall Monaro for a few years, before that she had an Astra Sri Turbo that she had remapped, 3inch exhaust and air filter, coilovers, strutbraces and wheels put on it. I'm not joking

On the M6 about 4-5 years ago an old couple came past me in a Aston Martin rapide , they must have been in their 80s, she was that small it looked like the driver was in the car alone , 1/2 a head above the door card

I still remember the plate BA55ERR

Back in the 80's, I saw a really old girl driving a black AC Cobra along the Cromwell Road in London. She must have been at least 85, sallow cheeks, white hair and a net vail over her hat and face!!!! Saw her again in the middle lane of the M3 two weeks later. I'm sure she was looking after her late husbands pride and joy. EPIC!

Although a granny, wife age 66 now on our sixth Impreza - a latest WRX STi. Limited mods - Hayward & Scott straight through centre section and a Pipercross. I'm 69 and lucky to get a drive. Have to make do with my C350 AMG Coupe. Have the feeling we will still be enjoying the STi in 10 years time. Me, quite interested in a C63...

Bike related so apologies, was in Matlock a few weeks back. All of a sudden a Suzuki GSXR came flying down the road with the guy revving the nuts off it. I expected to see some young guy get off, instead it was a bloke aged 75! Thought brought a massive smile to my face the fact at that age he's still able to swing a leg over a sport bike. Hats of to you sir!

Used to see an old lady driving around in an Integra Type R and would have loved to know the story behind that one. My Dad keeps talking about buying a Focus ST as well, despite the fact he never breaks speed limits or goes above 3000rpm
