Indeed. Try having a flat front tyre on a motorcycle in the Jura mountains. Oddly enough by taking it easy, making allowances and all was well.

I feel your pain. Having wheelied my way up the Stelvio I can certainly empathise with the difficulty in getting around all the hairpins in such situations.

Had a puncture on my Focus a few months ago on the way to work, so had to use the space saver. I could have gone to the local Kwik Fit just round the corner from where I work, but wanted to go to my local fitter close to home, so drove back 25 miles (mainly twisty NSL B roads). Kept the speed around 45mph and pulled over a couple of times to let a few cars past, but to be honest I didn't really feel a huge difference in handling.

I wouldn't have any concerns about using it again, even for longer distances. And I'd rather go to a place I can trust for a repair or replacement.
