2002 Corsa wet passenger footwell
Discussion
My daughter has a 2002 Corsa 5dr,the passenger footwell is constantly wet after it rains.
Several garages have looked at it and come up with no solutions or causes. I am hoping that it is a common problem with these cars and there is a fix. My flippant remark to her was that I'd drill a few holes in the floor so that the water could at least drain out, but I'd like to stop it coming in. Anybody else heard of this problem?. Cheers Guys.

Very common,I believe its due to water leaking from behind the brake servo in the engine bay. The seal round it perishes and you get the leak.
If you google it you should find a guide, its been a while since I did it!

I had a 106 GTi with the same issue.
Inside the sunroof there were some drainage rails that ran down the side of the windscreen and drained behind the front wheels.
These become clogged and when full poured back in to the car soaking the footwell.
Many suggested a coat hanger but I never got it cleared.

Remove the lid of the electrical box next to the battery and check the seal on the underside carefully as they rot away. Nearly always this on the ones I've seen. Torx headed screws hold it down which can be rusty as these are all getting on a bit now. Lid supplied with seal available from Vauxhall.
