First sunny (this is sunny in the borders!) Saturday and the first tank of V Power. On board is showing 16 mpg on my favourite test route hehe
How does it cope on the lumpy stuff? It must be OK if you can keep the throttle buried for long enough to do 16mpg biggrin

Aye hehe

The JRZ dampers are pre set up to the previous owners requests by steve rance at PARR, so it can obviously be tweaked to suit but I don’t want to adjust anything just yet until I get it out to the ring.

I only got airborne once!

I like the David Dickinson interior. I'd definitely miss having the roof off though and I used to think coupe was the only way to go.

Depends how fussy you want to be for a coupe in green at that price. Suspect it’d be easy enough to find other seats.

The only 3.0Si Z4 Coupe in the UK?
I think they meant that colour exterior and that colour trim.
Yes, 1 of 1 manual Coupe in that colour combination registered in the UK. We only got 22 Tiefgrun Coupes here in total.

It looks nice, but I wonder how bad/good the automatic gearbox would be. I'd always be wondering if I should have paid more for a manual.

Fairly sure that quoted 0-60 is significantly wrong, not that it really matters and I'm sure on the move it would feel quick enough even with the auto.

Very nice and seems good value these days.

Personally I'd try to swap the leather seats for cloth.

It'd be rare that I'd properly horse it anywhere. It's a definition of casual smoke...why bother with those behind, beside or in front of you? Matters not A Jot. I'm off to pickup my 2 golf buddies and they will coo at the load capacity and be google-eyed at the the History of it. I'm in .

The gearbox really neuters them, 4 speed cuckboxes and 5 speed, early ones and later P2 ones are all pretty much ruined by the box.

Other opinions are available but I think If you only drove automatic T5 Volvos you'd wonder what all the fuss was about, but the manual is a completely different experience.

I haven't seen one of those in that yellow in the UK in an age, in fact the last one I saw was in Tokyo of all places about 10 years ago. By all accounts it looked incredibly cool.

A friend of mine that was in the army and posted in Germany bought one tax free when they were new in the same yellow, I think it was a manual but I wouldn't swear to it. They kept it for the required 6 months then sold it for about twice what they had paid for it. It seemed a lot faster than the figures would suggest, but the combination of front wheel drive, a reasonable amount of power (by 1995 standards) and a big heavy car did no favours for the handling, copious understeer being very easy to invoke. Looked fantastic though!

I've always thought a 205 would look good with tartan cloth, a bit of red in it to match the red carpets they did. Maybe I'm just weird.

I much preferred the manual, had a Gul 854 t5r auto and an ex police, utterly immaculate as it was a training school car 854 manual and the explod was ten times the car of the t5r, which was, admittedly, a little tired by the time I bought it from its original owner; much less miles than the 190k police one but had lived a much harder life
