There’s a guy I raced against who has an E39 M5 as his tow car to drag his 7 about. One with a track focussed 308GTB would definitely be a good combination.https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1706943

Was the M5 pale blue (Silverstone or Bluewater as a guess) by any chance? Saw one with a tow bar that looked in very good condition. Told it was used to tow the owners 7 all over, and had done approx 300k miles!Leins said:
I remember 10+ years ago this car seemed to take an age to sell for what I recall was £11k:
That front end really does shout “OUT OF MY WAY COMMON FOLK!”
I got a bee in my bonnet that the E34 B10 4.6 cars didn't get a grill badge like all the other E34 Alpina cars and the E31 and E32 Alpina cars...That front end really does shout “OUT OF MY WAY COMMON FOLK!”
...so I had one made up...
That fabulous B12 5.0 was for sale for about three years starting in the mid teens and eventually selling for £9k iirc; it was MoT'd once and hasn't been on the road since. 10 years in storage. Tragic.

Love it on the grille badge! I remember finding an NLA “C2 2.5” front badge on German eBay for my E30 and even in 2012 it cost me €350 such was demand. Sytner used to cut them up and create a more accurate “C2.5”, but I didn’t have the stomach for that...so I had one made up...

That’s sad news on the E32 B12, as it looked lovely in the pics
Good Lord. The noise chaps, the noise. One of the best sounding cars I have heard:

Yeah, that sounds pretty epic... though I’m sceptical it actually makes 400bhp… the Indy that used to look after my 996 said 100bhp/litre from an aircooled was a big ask, even for a race car. Harry’s Garage: Theon 911

There’s plenty to like about it… great that the wheels and tyres aren’t stupidly big, oak is a spectacular colour on a 911, the front end looks very nice.
But for me there are some details that don’t work… the big one is the interior, which looks far too modern compared to the exterior. Then there are little things like the dual exhaust tips that just don’t look right and the door mirrors look clumsy.
I think Singer do it just a bit more tastefully.

Agreed on a few of the details but that’s the beauty of a bespoke build.
I’d certainly have more retro seats, different mirrors oh and of course the trumpet engine option
My thoughts too - I’d cherry pick some of the options or look for a variation to some of the details on that particular car. Adore the colour and sound of it though.I’d certainly have more retro seats, different mirrors oh and of course the trumpet engine option
Price was a bit of stiffener but I guess in the arena for such cars once you’re north of £500k it becomes academic.

SPECIAL ORDER FOR ROSS BRAWN
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202403227863191‘Celebrity’ connection is doing some heavy lifting here I think. I sold my facelift saloon with the same miles for similar money a couple of years ago when the market was buoyant. Something closer to £20k for this one seems more reasonable imo.
