I disagree, enough dodgy spacing goes on anyway (especially amongst certain people and certain makes of car) without relaxing the rules. I am always amazed by some peoples ingenuity to make a random plate read what they want it to.

I'm not so sure about them and that specific plate - but I often have trouble reading some that are close to me where the plates are tinted, and or the letters have been butchered. I think I saw something like AW55OME on a stupidly loud bright yellow A45 AMG last week, it had tinted plates though so was really hard to read. Apparently it's not the plate I thought it was!

People who put these on need taking out of the gene pool. Far worse than any digit butchering. Can literally make them unreadable, other than when in really close proximity.
