Anybody won one of those car lotteries?

Since it’s a web form, I assume incorrect answers do not make it through to the draw. Would be easy to filter out.
Seems like it's always on a spreadsheet which includes any unsold numbers and I've never noticed a correct/incorrect column, but I'd agree it would be easy enough to filter.Mr Tidy said:
I had to buy the entry before I found out it was basically a "Spot the Ball" competition.
No, you didn't. You could have just read the website.

I may be cynical, but I can't help thinking that by the time all the entry fees have been collected the "prize" has already been funded!
Erm, yes, of course they have. That's how they operate, or they'd make a loss. Duh.ESD1711 said:
As an aside to this.... one thing I’ve seen folk voicing opinions on with these things is folk winning the prizes and then putting the cars up for sale straight away.
Now obviously, they are entirely entitled to do so, but to me that just seems a bit of a shame.
Should you be spending money entering a draw for a car you don’t even want? Personally, I wouldn’t ever buy a ticket for a car I couldn’t see myself keeping, and it’s a bit of a shame to see folk who would genuinely love to win these cars losing out on them to someone who has it straight up for sale to cash in.
I saw one recently, think it was for an old escort where the winner had it up for sale before the company had even unloaded it off the trailer for him.... ??
I don't get why people make a subject of this, its just the dreamers who think they are entitled to win it just because they 'want' it, everybody wants a free car or car for 0.0000001% of its value. Now obviously, they are entirely entitled to do so, but to me that just seems a bit of a shame.

Its just gambling, its about the odds of winning and the value of the prize, doesn't matter if its a car or a boat.

I think of it as roulette but with thousand numbers and each person bets on their number. If the ball lands on it you win else you have lost. It is gambling and let's be honest the very vast majority will lose, never win. But as long as it is fun then still worth a go.The Spruce Goose said:

Yea theres no problem with that, I've had quite a few chuck ins on them.It was just a reply to the statement about people who don't actually want the car shouldn't play. Most of the comments on the FB posts are people moaning about it as well like they were on to winning it. They don't seem to see it as gambling, rather if they keep entering they WILL win a £30k car for £5 eventually.
