A shame that JLR don't put the same effort into aftersales care.
... or indeed wider customer care. I can still use the LR Remote app to "see" a car which I sold to a JLR dealer about 6 months ago. I can see what journeys the new owner has made in it, what the mileage now is, how much fuel it has, whether it has any issues. I could start it remotely, pre-heat the cabin and right now I can see that it is unlocked and tempting though it might be, I am not going to see if I can lock it. It could be that those facilities are locked out somehow, but all the functions appear to be available.Yes of course I could just delete the app, or I could notify JLR of the potential issue, but I would prefer to have some confidence that LR would disable access for previous owners as a matter of course. If I identified myself to them I have no confidence that they would not simply address the issue for this one car rather than derive a more comprehensive solution.

Why on earth wouldn't you delete it? What a strange thing to do.Yes of course I could just delete the app, or I could notify JLR of the potential issue, but I would prefer to have some confidence that LR would disable access for previous owners as a matter of course. When I sent our last BMW back I did a "delete all data" from the iDrive. Presumably you could have (should have) done that with your LR? And presumably without doing so the new driver can see all of your driving history, including where you live?Yes of course I could just delete the app, or I could notify JLR of the potential issue, but I would prefer to have some confidence that LR would disable access for previous owners as a matter of course. At least you got those services working on your LR.
My BMW’s still where I left it, about 2 years ago, apparently. The last 22,000 miles, must have all been a dream.

Love to know how Urban have managed to get a seemingly endless supply of new defenders. Some dealer is missing out big time judging by the markup Urban make on each sale...
Going by the last video their supply has dried up and are only doing secondhand or customer cars.I had to sign something similar from Pendragon Group, agreed not to sell my New Range Rover within 6 months or I’d be liable for losses direct or indirect. The dealer told me they get a 20-30k fine if the car is resold. Car has come forward and is due in a few weeks, not sure if I want to play this game though, customers shouldn’t be put in this position… might just bin it off.
I'm probably being a bit simple, but if you don't agree with the contract then surely you can just decide not to buy the car?
Where is the logic in signing something and then trying to claim that it is unfair? The contract is not being imposed on you, you can choose not to purchase the vehicle.

Yes, I can’t really give much of a toss about anyone involved in this little matter.Where is the logic in signing something and then trying to claim that it is unfair? The contract is not being imposed on you, you can choose not to purchase the vehicle.
