I take it out as part of the yearly insurance cover, can’t fault them. Clutch completely died on a motorway this morning, came out to me in just over 15 minutes. Towed me all the way home, to a local garage.

I change each year between AA, autoaid & green flag, this year it's green flag top of the range UK cover for £75
Whilst you may not need it, only RAC through the Camping & Caravan Club will cover cars of all ages and commercials and trailers including 5th wheel caravans

I pay £130 for that AND have 4 family members covered - so £26 each

Yes they try to screw you on renewal which is why I never auto renew and always negotiate when it's about to run out, it takes around 5 minutes and saves around £100

I won't touch the RAC with a barge pole after leaving me to my own devices at some London ish motorway services when the radiator sprung a leak on my e500, if it wasn't for a really kind truck driver who sorted me out with some rad weld & water I'd still be there now

Had to call green flag a few times & they have been brilliant
Yup, I swap around also.

I have AA cover included with my -£13 per month- bank account. I even got a hire car and had the vehicle recovered home when a van I bought expired en route home from purchasing. It's been the same price for 5 years. Includes travel insurance and mobile phone insurance too.

A quote on the AA website says they would charge £374 per year alone for the same breakdown cover. Presumably they'd increase it after 1 year.

Worth mentioning that GEM also cover cars of all ages, they cover the member so if as a member you happen to be driving something from the 1920’s, which I often am, breakdown and GEM will sort you out. I paid around £120 this year.
