They do auto renew.... they've just auto renewed my insurance 6 days before it's due !!!!
I was about to ring them to tell them of a change in my job, they'll no doubt want to charge me an admin fee for that now.
It's only because they're cheap I use them
To follow up,rang them and when I told them of my change of career the price came DOWN by £15 .
The only thing I'm not happy with is they took the money for auto renewal 6 days before the policy comes into effort. They said it was because of the easter holidays.

Many, many years ago I owned a highly modified 309GTI.

At insurance renewal time, I wrote down a list of all of the modifications and went through that list with each insurance company I was getting quotes from. Adrian Flux we’re by far the cheapest.

Fast forward a couple of months and I got stopped by the Police for having no insurance. confused

This wasn’t a banking issue, as I’d paid for my annual car insurance in one lump sum. My car was towed away and impounded, I was issued with points for driving without insurance and I had a long walk home.

It turns out that Flux had cancelled my policy without telling me, due to my 309GTI being modified. It took a good couple of months to get a partial refund of my insurance cost back, and when I took my complaint to the insurance ombudsman, even though “all calls are recorded”, purely coincidentally, Flux had ‘lost’ the recording of my telephone conversation with them detailing all of the modifications my 309GTI had.

Flux is one company that I would never, ever use nor recommend.
That’s a bit hard to follow? How would they know that it was modified, if not from your phone call? Consequently the quote, acceptance and charge must have been based on your call - it shouldn’t matter if they could find it or not.
They can’t then decide that they aren’t covering you after all. Did you get your points removed etc. (or if not possible as ‘absolute’ offence) a large compensation settlement?

Just curious. The 309GTI, was it an H plate in grey, by chance?

Agreed that AF customer support is crap though.
I’ve avoided them for years over issues and lies over a boggo standard insurance.

My advice to anyone who asks is to avoid them and go somewhere like Keith Michaels.
