Didn’t you read the article? Gavan says he has been working’ on it for a couple of years.

Are you suggesting he is a liar ?
I’m going to have to own up that I thought this with the other Emiya article. Just had a read realised it wasn’t.

Count me educated and surprised! My understanding was the the EVs where being kept totally separate and only the upcoming EV sportscar was being worked on in Hethal.

Quite happy to have been proved wrong as I thought it was quite a sad state of affairs before.

Anyway I’m going to get my coat after that embarrassing post.

You're right, Hethel has nothing to do with this car. Gavan has had some involvement, but all the development and engineering was done in China and Germany.

It’s not built in Hethel but Hethals fingerprints are all over it and Gavan Kershaw has been involved in the chassis dynamics.

It may amaze you to find out that people from Hethal can get on a plane and take their expertise to other places.

It started to look dated during the 2 minutes I was looking at the images. It’s like they designed two front ends and couldn’t decide which was best, so used both.

The Hethel team had very little involvement. Kershaw, yes, he's the director for Attributes and product integrity for Group Lotus PLC, so gets involved with every Group Lotus Car. This car is the work of Lotus Tech, not Lotus Cars. Developed in China and Finished of in Germany.

Even though he himself says he has spent a lot of time with the car?

Issue is that your source is the article/press release, whereas I strongly suspect Silvanus’ is a person who works at Hethel Lotus. I’ve heard very similar corroborating information from a number of ex Lotus Dynamics employees.
