Copying my post again from the main thread:

FYI my dealer has updated me to confirm that the AMR Green is not a £15,000 option but a £6,700 one. As the £15,000 price is for “Q” paints whereas the AMR green is a “racing line”.

Still outrageous but now means you I don’t have to choose between Ceramic brakes and the colour I like!

Iridescent Emerald Green is nice too, don’t know how much that is.
I love this latest iteration of the Vantage and kudos to Aston Martin not to go hybrid or electric.
All points have been addressed and it now looks great !

I am still not sure what Aston is thinking on the pricing, a DB12 starts at £185k so option a Vantage and you could be looking at the same money.

I think it says a lot when so many people on this thread, myself included, have jumped on the configurator.

Is there an option to delete the enormous ASTON MARTIN badge on the back?

The wing badge alone should suffice, like old Astons. Perhaps because they aren't unmistakably Astons anymore?

Not sure they are saying the db12 is flagship anymore, maybe the v12 deletion has enabled this.. apart from a size differential, what actually is there between the two? Same interior, same power, slightly smaller seats in the rear of vantage?

Vantage doesn't have rear seats, which is now the only real difference to DB12.
Even though the latter's rear seats are only good for carrying up to 10 year olds!

So very much smaller seats then biggrin

Never even looked tbh as i’m after the roadster which i assumed wouldnt have anyway.. but i think the AMG GT has rear seats like the 911 (useless but good for luggage) so why doesnt the vantage coupe? The old one had them didnt it?

Is this whats in the new one? Just as useful as the seats in the other models really..

You'd certainly cross shop them if you didn't need the addition space of the DB12, I don't see either as being "better" more of a choice between 2+2 seating and GT style or the smaller and more sporty look and appeal of the Vantage.

I'd choose the Vantage myself.

Vantage coupe hasn’t had rear seats - just that shelf - since the first Gaydon built one in 2005.

That’s the old “new” vantage, 2005+

Lovely exterior and the interior is finally up to date compared to the 20 year old design of the last car.

But is it overpowered? How many horses can it put on the road before you light up the tyres?

No, i meant, as in, does it just have luggage space rather than seats, which is a yes apparently, just as handy as useless seats smile

Yes. Costs £1000 per letter, mind.
Done personally by Laurence Stroll, using his Dys*n hair-drier and Bloomingdale’s dental floss.

Big bhp is what’s expected these says for this type of car, rightly or wrongly.
If it didn’t have it, people would be making unfavourable comparisons.

Exactly.
It’s a canny move by Aston.
Now in same bhp-league as the Roma, whereas before the doubters said Aston was being left behind by Ferrari.
And, obvs, the Vantage doesn’t have the Roma’s hideous bolt-on Laskys 2011-vintage tablet and infuriating no knobs ‘n’ buttons UI.
