There's so much Mercedes hardware, software and styling cues in there, I'm surprised they didn't rename it the Aston Martin Gantage.

Wonder if they’ll put lipstick on this one?

Every time I want to be critical about cars like this (is there a hint of Ford Puma about that front end?), I need to remind myself that this is 2024 and we can still buy sports cars with V8 powered petrol engines. There's only a few years left of wonderful engines like this so for that alone, I love it.

All that was needed really. Anyone know if this Revenant frontend replacement is still available?

Styling wise, I don't think they've upstaged my 2013 Vantage just yet. I'm not even sure it would be as much fun to try deploying all that power on my favourite B roads either. And what happened to that promise to "always have a manual on offer"? I guess that was the now much maligned Andy Palmer speaking, so it can be dismissed.
All the power and performance available… more cooling is going to be required than the mod you prefer could provide.
See Harry’s Garage YT with Simon Newton, Aston’s head of vehicle performance.

It looks stupid. Like two different design languages mixed in one, and looks very old.

The 2018-2023 Vantage is the best looking one IMO.

I thought the article was well written for this one... better than the PH average. Albeit factual in style rather than creative. I actually read it all the way through.

The car does look good from some angles, but others (esp front quarter) look like they've been made by generative AI. Interior does look very nice - good to see an embedded screen and a sensible amount of physical buttons.

Could've done with a bit of styling trickery to make the gob look a bit less gobby, but overall like the look of that a lot.

The 2018 Vantage front end is way better than this effort. The new headlights are too large and bulbous, which results in a less aggressive and sporty look, in turn making the front and rear ends looking less cohesive. 10/10 for the interior and power increase though!

I love it!

The Vantage now has all the visual drama and power to match!

Is the configurator available on their website yet?

Far too much power for a Vantage. You'll never get to rev it out on the road.

From certain angles it looks good, but face on it looks like a Ford Puma.

As my current absolute maximum spend on a car is £20k my opinion is obviously worthless; but here goes anyway.

Although I definitely hate the current trend for 'ipads' stuck on top of dashboards that screen seems mounted unnecessarily low.

IMO this sort of power boost for traditional ICE supercars is down to EV's

Nobody wants to drop Circa £200K on a supercar and have a Tesla Model 3 glued to your back bumper when you boot it. Or worst still you go roasted off the lights, its just not a good look for your prospective supercar owner.

I wouldn't worry, you're still in the majority of us.

Secondly, I still think the opinion is valid because when someone spends £200k on a car, I think it's a bonus for them to know that other people want to look at it and admire it, rather than think it looks like Ford have brought back the Cougar line as accurately suggested above.

Wooahh, another 128bhp. Got so excited I had to go to the toilet. No longer an elegant car by any stretch of the imagination. Incidentally, over the weekend I was overtaken on a motorway by a monstrosity of a Roller (comical in that that the body was much bigger than the wheels (opposite effect to this Aston)) and a Lamborghini Sterrato(!) that did not indicate to overtake nor indicate to come off at the next junction and when overtaking I, literally pulled in front of me lending me to flash my lights at his idiotic antics. Wayyyy to much money in his/her pockets.

Not so sure about the looks and that rear is a dbx mash up. The vantage appears to have lost some of its beauty. And then no matter how good it may be there is always that Merc elephant in the room. Nah.
What Merc elephant? That interior UI has nothing to do with anything from them now; the engine block and induction system is also completely new and not carried over from the old car.

This Vantage is a bit more than just a facelift.

Spicy pricing and spec with it starting at Turbo S money/power and when fully spec'd is close to a sensibly spec'd Ferrari Roma but without the 2+2 config, I'm trying to think of a car outside of the mid engine supercars (which are a lot more money) what other pure 2 seater front engine car there is at this level.

As an object of desire I think it beats the Turbo S hollow unless you simply must do 60 mph in just over 2.5 seconds and need the rear seats, interior for me is miles better than the Roma with its Binatone tablet complete with naff silver badging and of course you can add 40k to the price without even thinking about it, but the Roma is a lot prettier if that's your thing.

If you can keep the spec sensible, then I'm not sure it has a direct competitor, arresting looks, 660hp, 2 seats, RWD and a badge a good as any.

I like it.
