Not so sure about the looks and that rear is a dbx mash up. The vantage appears to have lost some of its beauty. And then no matter how good it may be there is always that Merc elephant in the room. Nah.
What Merc elephant? That interior UI has nothing to do with anything from them now; the engine block and induction system is also completely new and not carried over from the old car.

This Vantage is a bit more than just a facelift.
Not much ...

The 9 stage adjustable traction control / drift control / whatever you want to call it sounds like it's lifted straight from the AMG GTR also. Definitely a decent amount of tech borrowed from Mercedes.

Doesn’t seem to align to the general opinion but I think this looks great. Will go like a stabbed rat too!
One in metallic Racing Green with carbon exterior bits and a tan interior. cloud9

The shapes of and selectors on the 'spokes' are completely different and the shape of the rim is pretty generic and not MB specific but apart from that, err yeah

Try looking closer at the steering wheel controls etc.

Not quite as similar as Bentley/Audi steering wheels are to each other but still a lot in common due to the tech given to AML by AMG.

The 'baby' Aston has 650 hp, does 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds and is capable of over 200.

So what? Older Astons are full of Ford and Volvo switches, Ferraris are Fiats and Lamborghinis are Audis in drag. Hardly an elephant in the bloomin' room.

I thought the previous version was very good except for the interior and the fact it was too wide for U.K. roads .
So they have resolved one issue but worsened the other .

Stunning. Best looking Aston in a very long time IMO, both inside and out. Seriously tempted by this.....,

Why the obvious radar box at the bottom of the grill?! There must be a reason they've had to do that but it ruins the DB12 as well, would love to know why AM can't integrate these better.

And the revered Zonda had a Merc engine and Rover switchgear...

People just trying to latch onto 'something' for whatever reason to disparage when it's really a complete non issue.

IMO this sort of power boost for traditional ICE supercars is down to EV's

Nobody wants to drop Circa £200K on a supercar and have a Tesla Model 3 glued to your back bumper when you boot it. Or worst still you go roasted off the lights, its just not a good look for your prospective supercar owner.
Most owners of ICE sports cars and supercars really don’t care about Tesla style acceleration and the traffic light Grand Prix. My neighbour has a Taycan which would efficiently destroy my GT4 in a straight line and not once have I thought I need something like that to replace it. Despite the absolute performance of EV’s I have no desire to own one as weekend car. Some sort of EV as a daily… absolutely.

Although not perfect I like what they've done with the exterior and interior styling.

Although, and I never thought I would say this, I think this car is overwheeled and overpowered!!!

Maybe they're trying to create some space for a new, smaller model in the range? Hopeful I know...

Yep. I’d rather have my ears filled with the glorious sound of a 360 CS while watching a Tesla disappear in front of me than drive any electric car.

Back to this, I think it looks fantastic, so does the DB12. I think Aston has really stepped up their game. As a daily I’d take this but as a weekend toy I think I’d still go original shape V12 manual.

It must be a blessing for AM to have access to Mercedes/AMG. I see it a positive of course, as I still get the impression AM are working with a very limited budget.
Overall, the car looks a stunner even with the fussy rear end details (it's sort of BMW M2/4's), the side profile is fab. The piss yellow is exactly that...

Certainly better looking than the old one, but that's not exactly saying much. Bit aggressive for my tastes, but then I'm aware this is the mid 2020s and understatement in general is slightly less fashionable than Barry Manilow.

Looks amazing.

A potentially frustrating drive considering the level of power.
