Personally I'd be mortified if my car was doing crazy stuff with the brake lights and annoying fellow road users behind me!
You never modulate speed using the throttle only? I do however quite like the coasting feature in my 535i eco pro mode that essentially sticks the gearbox into neutral and the engine drops to idle if you come off the pedals for more than a couple of seconds.
