Am I the only person who doesn't 'get' all these restomods? Give me the real thing any day.
How much is a 964 Carrera 2 these days? (I know I'm not going to like the answer).Edit: given this is a website with cars for sale I guess I should take a look... bit hard to say, but seems maybe £80k or so. I guess I'll go back to being appalled by prices of 205GTi's.

there is a 3.2 Strosek for sale for not that much, looks pretty cool, ok not superfast, its more like WTL carrera 3.2 but rare.https://www.secret-classics.com/en/strosek-911-meg...
also those aero spoilers (forgot the name) at both sides of the numberplate ala Z1 or Hamann Z3

What’s with the flying pig decal, some sort of in-joke – eg, “When an air-cooled 911 doesn’t spin when you lift-off mid-corner, pigs will fly.”?

I was offered a 993 RS Clubsport for £62k about 12 to 15 years ago. it's the only car i ever asked the missus for permission to buy and she said no :-( .
- * Funny how the mind works, i just looked at the message which was still in 911uk. It was £75k and it was in March 2011.

I'll see your 993RS Clubsport and raise you a 964RSL, RHD and 8000 miles which I viewed but decided against as I thought I needed rear seats for the kids. £32k. Oh for a crystal ball or time machine! - * Funny how the mind works, i just looked at the message which was still in 911uk. It was £75k and it was in March 2011.

Interestingly, at the same dealer at the time was the ex-Nick Faldo 964 Turbo S, for £60k if memory serves.
Closest I got to buying a 993 RS was at a Ferrari main agent, where I saw a 993 RS 'Touring' advertised in the early 00's. I went for a view and drive but was underwhelmed- aside from the spoilers it felt just like a normal 993... "Ah, that's because it's a road-biased version sir". Unconvinced, I called Porsche and checked the chassis no, sure enough it was a normal 993 with a bodykit. Lots of red faces at the dealer when I told them why I'd not be proceeding.

Looking though £75k in 2011 is £106k now, which i'm not sure would get you into any RS variety (although there is a 66k mile 997.1 in the classifieds)
