Have to agree. Engineering aside, there are no redeeming features. I would not be interested even if I was a multi millionaire (which I am not).
It's an iconic thing because it broke the whole "supercars as Top Trumps game" - the traditional big players pretty much gave up on that side of things.

The engineering is an odd one, it always struck me as a product of deep pockets and obstinate corporate will, as opposed to inspiration or enthusiasm. It seemed to be in development forever, the sort troubled gestation that would have killed a project from a lesser entity.

Presumably for that money you could actually fly to Argentina and order a real Pur Sang in person and have it built and shipped back to the U.K.

Agreed. They are just not good looking cars.

I spotted one July 2016 on the way to santapod. I didn't realise it was a special edition.

That dusty antiquated wonky-wheeled Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang looking thing? Oh hell no.

I will always prefer something I can use safely on public roads every day knowing that I'd walk away in the event of a car crash as opposed to having to be carried away (or even worse, scraped up) from.

I have never liked the looks to the Bugatti and it always looked a large car in photos but whne i picked my 911 up from storage it was parked next to one and they are Tiny!! with a captial T.

I believe there are a couple of owners in the UK who daily use their Veyron, but as mentioned the running costs wow! and ouch spring to mind
that is also what surprised me when I saw one - they are tiny, but look like a much bigger car in pictures (to my eyes anyway). it is like a staffy, small but a lot of mass and power

I do wish manufacturers would be more selective or impose some sort of minimum use clause on these owners who just buy up exotic cars to store away. Whoever buys this can't drive it without wrecking it's value, but it's not a great investment as (new era) Bugattis don't appreciate like other hypercars.
As long as we get to put silly clauses on the things you buy with your own money.

Always liked the Veyron and it's moment in history.

Not sure about this colour scheme tbh, feels like it'd just be annoying. Not that I have the budget to be concerned. drunk

Agreed - I can’t see anything at all about any exterior line or detail or any internal feature that looks attractive at all.

But then again I’m not Bugatti’s target market.

I’ve had the pleasure of driving several and currently look after another special edition car for its owner. He uses it periodically - perhaps 2/3 times per year, once in the South of France.

Genuinely impressive cars - as you’d expect given the cost and engineering expertise that went into their development. They are extremely compact and feel it on the road, even compared to a Chiron.

The quality of the build is remarkable - just feel so solid. And needless to say even around town the performance is just bonkers. Even at 20%.

The Bugatti techs love them and aren’t as big fans of the Chiron - build more to a budget, so they say.

Running costs are absolutely, comically brutal. But you knew that.
