It's ok, but while there's a Cayenne SOTW this is of little interest. That Cayennes outsell 911s nearly 2:1 just shows how much better they are.

Exactly, perfect for towing your Lotus to the track (or more likely the garage)!!

I understand 911's are usable sports cars and have a following, but they are oddly proportioned things with bulbous backsides and strange styling features. Anyway at this money it would be difficult to look past interesting and serious bits of kit like a Mclaran's, V12 Vantages, AMG GT.

The problem with 991 GT3s is that the 3.8 is chocolate, and even the 4.0 G engine isn't immune from follower wear.

Fine for those who won't use it mind.

can drive them to track days and back and they are good on track + feel special/fun/more raw on the road + look nice!
Theoretically great. But:
A track day car may break down due to mechanical stress, or may have an accident. Not a massive issue if it’s on a trailer, but if you have to drive it back home…
Feels more raw and special, but also harsh like hell on the road, especially on less than perfect ones (basically 90% of uk roads)
Look nice yes, although a 911 without all the aero bits looks classier. But it’s a matter of taste

I'm probably going to have one of these at some point having been out in one, fabulous cars.

I'll never be able to afford one, but I can dream.

Absolute perfection on 4 wheels, there isn't a single thing I could fault, or dont like.
Beautiful and amazing car.

It’s got patchy history, mis matched tyres and the wrong spec. Think it’ll even hit £100k?

I can't see it not reaching £100k when the cheapest 4.0 in the classifieds here (and on Autotrader) is £120k, but this has the potential to be cheap (in the context of these cars). Suspect the reserve will be a chunk above £100k though.

ETA - there's a (Riviera?) Blue 4.0 clubsport on Autotrader for £124k, still under warranty. Stunning.

Things what put me off would be the comfort seats, pdk, mismatched tyres and what is the front number plate deletion about?
Comfort seats for a road car actually make a lot of sense, especially if the owner has no intention of tracking it. Could make resale tricky though.
Front number plate deleted for the reasons already given.

Mixed tyres. Unforgivable quite frankly.
For a road car I’d go with 4S’s.
IMHO, if you are not going to track the car, have pdk, comfort seats etc, why not save a lot of money and buy a GTS which probably makes a better all round road car. The fact that the owner is prepared to fit mis-matched tyres, to me, reiterates my point of view

thats my point, at £100k plus fees, you'd be better off buying the blue clubsport with warranty.

funnily enough, i had a drive in one of these fairly recently (but it was a 991.1)
i loved everything about it except for the steering.
The steering is much improved on the 991.2 as is the engine which is of another world….only in the 991.2 GT3 and early RS’s is the engine heard in its full glory before they GPF’d it.

Peak GT3 I’d say.

Absolutely, but when £100k is the asking price for 3.8-engined cars with more miles, why would the reserve on this be less than £110-115k? Toppy perhaps for the spec but in line with the market.

That indigo blue car has also been for sale for ages at that price, the market is moving slowly down.

Because the market on these is on the way down, you’ve got fees to pay on top along with auction risk of no warranty. £120k gets a proper clubsport spec car with warranty.

There is a lightly used full CS spec up for £125k if you look for it with a warranty and full P history which Id probably have over this one.

Given the auction fees and a set of tyres that would go ontop, there wont be much difference.

It's all been said but I wouldn't touch this. Seems to have been run on a shoestring and there are far better options out there.

I just don't get owners of these types of cars who don't put proper tyres on them and service them regularly. Then of course they expect top money come resale...

Even my sheds have matching Michelins and are serviced annually.

Madness and the owner should expect to get a kicking on price IMO.

The worst thing about the tyres is that with the PS4S on the front it will understeer in the summer and in the winter oversteer I guess if use use it when it’s cold. Although the thing that would really put me off is the wrap on the roof…I would never buy a car with a wrap on it. No idea if it is hiding anything,

Complete opposite end of the spectrum (as basic as they come) but I think the 991.2 is an excellent shape. Of course I’m a tad biased but I do love its simplicity…..I know the GT3 less so, but still wonderful.

Lovely cars, but I would never be able to trust the mileage. I’ve heard far too many stories of mileage correction going on. Not surprising given the price/mileage sensitivity of these types of car.
