Like the interior improvements, just not in that colour.

The dash of the current DBX is the one area I think lets it down and look dated - that sorts it IMO.

Steering wheel still looks very Mercedes-esque.

Looks pretty unresolved to me, aesthetically you can’t have a square infotainment system wedged into curved lines like that, it looks crap…they shape of the dash needs a better rework than that.
This.

Maybe if the top half of the dash was black, it would sit better, but it does look like it’s been grafted on rather than designed around… it’s a shame really as Aston deserve plaudits for building their own system rather than using the Merc one (and retaining some buttons).

I assume the choice of leather is significant - if it were e.g. black the new bits (which are all in black and therefore very apparent in the picture) would blend in, and be less noticeable/saleable. These pictures aren't meant to say "look at our new interior", they're saying "look at our new tech".

What does Kool-aid optimism mean? At least refer to Vimto and not some drink no one buys in the UK please.
LSD-spiked Kool-Aid was regularly used for parties in San Francisco counterculture in the 1960s; Not sure what the UK equivalent would be, a Vimto shandy?

Also - (1) the list is read around the world, not just in the UK and (2) Vimto in the Middle East is the drink associated with parties during Ramadan - it's like eggnog in terms of its seasonal associations.

Only enough material to do the wiper stalk. Apparently.

Drinking the Kool-aid is a reference to the Jonestown massacre, where followers of a suicide cult were invited / forced to drink Kool-aid* laced with fatal poison. The idea being you can make people believe pretty much anything if they have enough faith in you. Even that Aston Martin interiors are market-leading.**

*it wasn't actually Kool-aid but the phrase stuck anyway
**I've no idea how an Aston interior ranks against its peers

Love the car, hate that colour scheme. If I win the Euromillions tonight I will be ordering one, but not in orange.

When I was a lad my black Labrador, Jack, ate one of my goalie gloves. I vividly remember panicking when he shat out the finger wondering what the hell was wrong with his bowels. The finger was the same shade of orange they’ve upholstered the interior of this DBX, which is a shame because technologically speaking it’s a great improvement. Just not in orange.

Saw one of these recently 'in the flesh' at the place where I get my wheels refurbished (it was grey with a black leather interior) With the wheels off the main thing I noticed about it was the monster disks and calipers. The photos don't really do these justice- especially in orange !!!

they've fixed it? It is now half a ton lighter, does 30mpg not 15 and no longer defies physics to indulge people with wafeur thin egos? Great.
