A bright yellow, 500 bhp, 2 seat, four wheel drive Milk Float ?Because Milk Floats have electric motors ? At least be original, say "Oversized Mobility Scooter" or maybe "Racing Golf Buggy", milk float is so predictable and over used, and the one that services our road is diesel anyway, they have been for years, rarely see an electric milk float.
It's certainly quite a collection of "looks" - MX5 front end, and then the back is a mix of supra with a bit of a Porsche tail light bar "swoosh" above. Doors are a surprise. I am thinking I'd feel a bit of a nob getting out of scissor doors in a regular-joe car, but then I suppose tesla kicked it off with their gull-wings.
As for the weight question - it's a fair one. Thing is, fat people don't care about cars' dynamic handling much. They just need big cup holders for Maccy D's. You don't see fat racing drivers. If you've owned anything light and fast you'll know that weight really kills the fun no matter how trick the electronic suspension is. You just can't undo inertia. BUT - 99% of people don't drive a car in the manner that the weight matters - they just don't care.
Good luck to them - it looks "OK". It certainly seems to be attacking the E-MX5 buyer.

Love the doors but I'd feel like a knob opening them in public.
Delighted that there's a chance roadsters will continue into the EV age though, and overall it looks pretty good. Half the point of a convertible, for me, is hearing the engine and exhaust, but a 2 seater that gets to 60 in 3 seconds and will be cheap to run for under £60k is quite an appealing package.
Might be tempting when they're 2 years old and £25k....

I'd kind of agree AND disagree. I used to have a Mk2 MX5 and never thought about its sound (which was anaemic) where as my R8, I do. Perhaps it's expectations from the engine? I never once throught of my MX5 as an "engine" based / performance car - I didn't buy it for it's power (or lack of). I bought it for its price, size, and fun factor. I think it has a lot of F type about it on the side profile.
Overall, like it, but scissor doors always look like you have a 2003 Hyundai Coupe, are a bit mental and fitted them yourself along with some strange graphics, not right on anything other than an actual supercar.
The signature of the rear lights as an arrow, er, not sure, and the back is a bit droopy, need to see one in person.
