firstly.. what an awesome thread!!

I have a '5, and I'm trying to decide whether to supercharge it, or swap it for one of the cars on your list, almost to the exact specs you've mentioned!!

seems nobody made a car that's 'just right' for this though....

can I ask why you don't want to have the '5 as the everyday car? is it purely a space/comfort thing?

I'll be following the thread with interest to see how you decide!!

I wouldn't write off the auto if you were entertaining a supra. I said the same thing but am more than happy with my auto. Take one for a test drive and if you like i could try and see if i can get someone to take you for a spin.
I'd probably get a battering for saying i like the M3 on the supra forum, infact my girlfriend would too But i've been brought up with them and can't really fault them except for the price.
Neil mentioned the Skyline GTR, how about the R33 GTS-T?? Really nice car and also worth a test drive IMO.

You can use an SC'd MX5 everyday but they aren't really long distance cars, plus as mine has modified exhaust, seats, suspension etc it's more fun but less comfortable, mine has around 190bhp and is faster than a UK impreza to 100mph, being lighter and rwd, over that the Scooby makes a come back.

I don't find autos fun, even the tiptronic, admittedly I'd have one if I lived in London etc but fortunately I don't !

I couldn't justify the GTR so it was the GTS I was considering, however if the 2.0 200SX is as good as you say I'll go and try one, but if you look in my profile you'll see I was less than impressed with my 1.8 200SX... sold it after 3 months. Can you fit adults in the back of the SX - it looks like you can in the Skyline.
