Liquid Tuna and BMTNick, I would use a 5w-40 synthetic in both of those cars. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspxOut of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS NT/CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Shell Helix, Fuchs Supersyn/GT1 XTL and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives. As a budget choice, a 10w-40 will be fine and I would either go for the Fuchs XTR, Shell Helix, Millers XSS or Motul 6100 http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-657-10w-40.aspxCheers Tim

You need an oil that meets the BMW LL04 specification. Our selection can be found through the link below http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-686-bmw-longlife-04.as... The oils are all good oils as they need to be to meet the BMW specification, so take your pick based on any price/brand preference you have, although if it burns at lot of oil, go for one of the 5w-40s. Cheers Tim

Did post on your FB page but no reply. Looking at using a 5w 40 in my tuned ST220, Fuchs Titan Supersyn sound ok? Not interested in the Ford economy spec oil, i want better protection at higher temperatures.

Hi Tim
What oil would you suggest please for my Alpina B3 3.3, it has 120k and hasn't had a change for some time. It will undertake a variety of shorter town trips and longer A-Road / motorway runs.
Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me. With that sort of power and ue, I'd go for an increase in quality rather than viscosity. Something like the Fuchs Pro S, Motul 300V or Redline 5w-30 would be ideal. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-653-5w-30.aspxCheers Tim
