A quick search of the DVLA database confirms that my late father's last car (a 1969 Triumph Vitesse) is still in ownership, question is 'where'?
He sold it in the early 90s to a student from Durham University, but that's all I know.
Sounds sad I know, but I'd quite like to see the old girl again. Father and I replaced the engine in 1979 and I'd like to see if our handiwork is still going.
Does anyone have any ideas how I could find out? Googling the reg does nothing, and I've posted on all the Triumph forums to no avail...
As with all these things, the DVLA will tell you...for a fee, and providing you have a good enough reason. This goes with any car of any age. I'm sure if you say you have some old photographs or somehting and would like to reunite them, they would tell youHe sold it in the early 90s to a student from Durham University, but that's all I know.

If so, thank you.
I'd assumed the DVLA would play the 'data protection card' and that it would be pointless contacting them.
(Note - private not public, otherwise they'll tell you to ocntact your council to get it shifted)
My first brand new car, got it a couple of months after my son was born.

Can any one help? I'm am trying to track down a car for my Dad. He bought an MGB GT in 1972 from new, but was forced to sell it in about 1982. He waould love to have it back and as I do classic car restorations in my spare time we could get it up to a good standard and enjoy it again.
Here is the details on the car,
MGB GT
DOE 442K
White
08/05/1972
1798cc
I know from DVLA that it is still taxed but where. Also put it on DriveArchive. I think it might still be in worcester. Any help very much apriciated.

Hi guys.
I've been tryin to trace my old pug 106 for around 7 years now. I sold it 8 years ago and I've regretted it since! I love that car and it never ever let me down. I got my nickname 'Pug' because of it.......not exactly inventive I know'! Lol
Anyway, if anyone has any info on it or knows where it is then please let me know.
It's a Mk1 106 XSI I'm platinum silver. It looked completely standard apart from it was lowered but I had a fortune spent on the little TU engine under the bonnet.
The Reg is/was J102 PRJ.
Here's pic to see if it jogs a few memories
Fingers crossed someone can lead me to it so I can buy it back.
Cheers guys.

i'd really like to find my old car. It was my dad's before i had it and he bought it new, kept it for 7 years before i had it and i then stupidly sold it some years ago, regretting it ever since. It's a mk1 Ford Mondeo 4x4 (which are quite rare i think) and is still on the road (shows as taxed and insured).
N56 BVN - black ford mondeo 4x4.
i hope it's being looked after as i know fords of this era sadly rust away but i have some really good memories of that car and it was really well looked after in our ownership.
