H150 AAV, a black Mini 1.3 John Cooper edition with signed stripes, read leather, minilite wheels etc. Not currently showing on the DVLA database, but on the off chance it still exists and hasn't been scrapped, has anyone seen it recently? It used to be Mum's pride and joy back in the day.... but you can't fit a pram in an original mini
Sometimes you'll wish you didn't find it!
I had a very very good condition Cavalier Turbo, everything was perfect.
Unmarked leather, working 4x4, sensibly modified, no rust, no rot. Even the chassis rails at the rear IRS mounting points where perfect (common place to rot)
I was totally happy with it and loved it. Then out of the blue I got a phone call after someone saw it featured in Total Vauxhall magazine saying he wanted to buy it.
It was not for sale at the time, but everything has a price....
He made me a big offer well above its value and that was that.
Big promises of it being kept as it was and basically he talked of wanting to worship it.
2 months after buying it he rang me to ask what coolant was in it so he could use the same still!
It seemed like it had gone to a really good home.....
This was it a few months before I sold it, approx 6-7 years ago.
Fast forward to last month, and a mate who is still into Cav Turbos saw it by chance sitting outside in a yard.
The owner I originally bought it off always said he wanted first refusal on it if I sold it, so I rang him before I sold it but he wasn't in a position to buy it.
Now he is and still wanted it back, so they went to find the current owner (still the same one that I sold it to).
Yes, he would sell it, but wanted £4k for it as it sits!
Ask he desperately wanted it back and was happy to pay that for it he had a good look round it and found:
All 4 arches are rotten
Boot floor rotten
Sills rotten
4 doors rotten
Rear chassis rails rotted through
Headlining ripped and sagging
Floor pan rotten on all foot wells
Leather gone tight and ripped
Gearbox knackered
4x4 transfer box seals gone
Basically, its now worth scrap, yet he still wants £4k for it

Does he by any chance know it's your old car?, that can add 20/40% to a robbing bds price!I had a very very good condition Cavalier Turbo, everything was perfect.

Its not me wanting it back, its the person who I originally bought it from.Yes, he does know he owned it before me, so yes I agree that has probably put the price up!
Its fked now anyway, so not worth buying unless you want to weight it in
Hi, I am trying to find my Dad's very first BMW he bought back in 1994. Its a J reg 320i se E36 saloon. Reg Number J528 MJO. Its one of the very first E36's so its red with the black bumpers.
DVLA and HPI check says it not scrapped, written off or anything like that so I am hoping it is still around somewhere.
Any information would be great. Thank you.

i'd be absolutely gutted to be honest. I have a feeling that if I ever find the car i'm looking for it'll be in a similar condition!!I had a very very good condition Cavalier Turbo, everything was perfect.

Hello All,
This is my first post and I am hoping to find some information on my first car which I found in a barn, I hunted all over at 17 for a car I coud afford and restored it with my dad, little by little when I saved a bit more money.
He is an Austin A35, 1957, black with cherry red interior, cream wheels and grill, reg 827 LMX. His name was Tommy.
I never have got over selling him, but I was expecting my first child and felt he was too small, I didn't have the money to keep him and buy another at the time.
Here's hoping you can help, as this car was very special to me and my dad, I still remember my boiler suit with my hair pulled up like a pineapple on my head, my brothers were never into cars.. Lucky for me.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
