SOOOOOO! Completely new on here, Hello smile, but thought i would give this a try to find my old car…..Im looking for my old Peugeot 309 GTI 4X4 COSWORTH reg was E300 WSB, Built by my brother Mike (since passed) and owned by me in 96-98 time frame…
Was JDM built shell painted dolphin grey metallic (BMW colour)
375hp with T34 Hybrid turbo YBT 4X4 (the blue top)
Had full escort cos lux interior (yes really)
Lots of parts came from Mark Shead at the time if I remember correctly ( M.A Developments)
Was a fast car feature in 96...
Really trying to find it for nostalgic family reasons, anyone seen it or knows where it is?
Check it on DVLA it is on a sorn but is insured???
Wrote to DVLA but wasn't a reasonable cause to give current owner details (typical)
Anyone help?

Cheers

Malcolm

I was watching TV and saw my old 318i getting pulled over on 'Road Wars'. Was pleased to see that it's still in great condition.

I know the fate of all my old cars!

Pug 206 - in the great scrapyard in the sky
Puma - shell is in the great scrapyard in the sky, interior and drivers door live on somewhere around essex, bonnet is somewhere too
ZX 1.4 - Still see it locally, still owned by the people I sold it too, they put a new exhaust on it soon after I sold it (with the old exhaust in the boot). Dont think it's been washed since I last did it though...
XM - Having an engine rebuild by the new owner apparently, still got bits to post to him that I found

Just tried finding my first car using the DVLA checker but they have no details of it. A mk1 Citroen xsara 1.8VTR in blue. Great car I wish I'd never sold it and done it up as a shed track car.

same here

"Vehicle details could not be found

Vehicle details could not be found as it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details, your enquiry cannot proceed and has been cancelled. If you want to check the vehicle record held by DVLA..."

I know I have the reg right

Capri 3.0S 1979 mk3 gold JHS 15T (was a hot 3.1 with Holley, etc).

Capri 3000 Ghia manual 1978 mk2 factory Orange BSE 325S,

Capri 2.8I 1981 graphite / silver BHK 571X. The 2.8I road tested by hot car magazine Sept or Oct 1981, sister car to BHK 573X which was a tick ford turbo development car (anyone have a copy of the mag or the roadtest)?

All believed to have been scrapped in the 90s after I sold them but who knows? BHK probably worth a bit now if still around.

If you sold a car and the new owner put a private plate on it, is it possible to check if it is still alive? Does the old plate stay reserved?

I checked a car I sold and the plate says Untaxed (due Sept 2011?!) and No MOT.

Ever think about it the other way round, and wonder if somebody is looking for your current car that they owned at some point?

If there is anybody out there wondering what W517 VGU is up to, its safe and sound with me smile

I just searched for my Lotus Europa BRE 92J.
It seems that the car was turned into a Hovercraft by Ed China on Monster Garage. I'm unable to find a link to the original show, can anybody help?

I've always wondered why on the DVLA site it simply cannot find any details for the reg, rather than report it untaxed. My mums old Fiesta was on it, then suddenly it's unknown. Parents old Calibra has no details against the reg, yet all their other cars there are details even if they weren't taxed long ago
