Hi, would anyone be able to find out where my mum's old White Ford Fiesta 1.1 L is now?

The registration was D794YFS

We had it from about 1995 to 1997 then we sold it to my grandparents and they had it til about 1999.

Thanks smile

That means that the tax was due for renewal then - in other words, it wasn't renewed as it was written off.
Or it's been transferred to a dealer and they're running it on their trade plates. Unlikely if it ran out in 2005 though.

Car I'm looking to buy shows Date of Liability as 29/1/08 but it's on trade plates. Hopefully not a cut n shut or similar - any cheap way to check?

Date of Liability 01 09 2008

one of my old cars came up with this, someone decided to drive into my car when it was parked and it was written off in december and i have claimed my tax back.

the MOT on it could very possibly run out then. is that what this means ? or has someone got it back on the road ? it was a Cat D so could be repaired i believe

Your best bet might be posting the registration number in the thread title over in the "French Bred" forum...

Very very long shot though!

Hi, I'm looking to trace my old Series 2 Escort RS Turbo, reg F589 TFP. Any danger anyone can help me track her down? I have looked on allot of sites, they tell me it became liable at the end of 2006 etc etc, but, that doesnt help me find who has it and the reg'ed keeper and offer them a few quid to get it back! Any help to get my childhood dream back would mean allot. Thanks and fingers crossed!

The DVLA records show that your old S2 RST was not taxed on the last renewal date (1st April 2006). The vehicle could have been scrapped, or is SORNED. The Motor Insurers Database corroborates this as it isn't currently insured.

I'm not really sure where you can go from here.

My 1973 MG'B'GT is still around but is now green instead of orange.

It was my company car and was bought new.

God I loved that car....

Guess someone has smashed it to bits or blown it to high heaven! So upsetting to think about... Loved that damn thing! Only sold because I advertised the number plate I had on it, guy came to see it and kept offering me more and more money for the car too.... Got to £9k and just couldnt keep saying no! Felt a bit bad as it blew itself to bits 10 minutes down the road after he left. Opp's. But, any other suggestions to get it back or track it down, let me know guys!!

Thanks for the info thus far mate :-)

The only other thing you could do is contact the DVLA and ask them to pass on a message to the regd. keeper?

It says that on my old 944 that it is "SORN Not Due", what does that mean exactly? Is it SORN or not?

Whack it in the RAC 'HPI-Lite' to see if it's still alive.
I can only see the paid for options on that page. Where is the free option?

Thanks.

Yeah I've tried that one, just wanted to see how many owners my last car has had which the DVLA one doesn't show you.

Hmmm...looks like my Primera was scrapped about two months after I sold it. When it had 12 months MOT and 6 months tax on it...so I guess it was crashed!
13 years that car was in my family, only car I don't regret getting rid of though. What a bag of ste.
