Carver Declares Bankruptcy, Tilting Three-Wheeler Orphaned

Feck, that's a real shame.

How are these things running?

They are still going strong. I have a Stealth Black 2008 model for sale. Just had it's second service and a new front tyre fitted. It has had all the Carver recall work done as well so bang up to date. £28,000 is the price. The last new Carver in the UK sold in the last few weeks for circa £50,000

What's the story with parts supply? Who does the servicing on it?

Excuse the questions, I'm not in the market right now but came close a couple of years ago and am fascinated by the ownership experience.

£50k a pop for a car with the single wheel at the wrong end may explain why they've allegedly only sold 200 in 2 years. Just because it leans, doesn't mean it can ignore the laws of physics! That said, it is always sad to see a reduction in automotive diversity. Could not a firm such as Ariel build this to order and keep it alive for hardcore enthusiasts (a handful per year)?

Mine is serviced at Richard Thorne Classic Cars who have were appointed by Carver as servicing agents. They have a dedicated technician for the Carver and have done a lot of the recall work on many of the UK supplied cars.

Parts are in sufficient supply as the factory that makes the Carver still has supplies.
