Have to admit to being stumped too.. I've been through the entry list of Le Mans cars from 1965 through to 1982 and can't find anything similar. The closest is the WM P79 but that's not that close. If I were to take a hit at it I'd be inclined to say late 60's to early / mid 70's. But I'm inclined to say that it's a road car rather than a racer. Something along the lines of the McLaren M6 GT. A racer designed for the road. As to what it is... It's very nice! I'll keep on scratching away at my head.

Please don't... That's automotive pornography. I first came across the M6 GT in a copy of Classic & Sportscar many years ago and have wanted one above all else ever since. If only Bruce would have lived longer to get his project off the ground.

Found the bu99er!

It's a Dulon GT owned & raced by a guy named Andy Reeves.
Found on www.srgtc.org.uk in the Drivers & Cars page.

It's quite a looker, isn't it. The guys designing around that time, Costin, Marsh, Adams, Nathan, McLaren et al put together some lovely machines. Can't find much about the origins of the Dulon though. Be interesting to find out who was behind it.

There are some diferent Dulon cars from that gone era but so short in information! I crossed the net but not much info, very strange it came saw did a few years and left the carworld? or somebody bought it...and the name ws gone, just like the Chevron cars, but they stayed some longer...
GTRene

Dulon Cars were built in Didcot by Andrew DU-ncan and Bill LON-gley and they made their reputation with a number of quite successful F Ford and FF2000 cars as well as some small capacity Sports Cars.

Courtesy of the historic experts over at Autosport, Dulon made only one LD6 GT; the one pictured is the only one, originally built for a guy called Fred Lyons.

So only 1 LD6 GT Dulon! what a waste...its such lovely looking car! thats why I could not find that much, yeah some other race cars from Dulon but no more LD6 cars...

The Chevron cars indeed only a name...the website links are empty...maybe the Chevron name could not get sponcers like Shell or Esso gasolinehehe only from Chevron oils...and they would not touch it afraid to loose the game?
Again a waste of nice good looking and driving cars...and mostly only the strong most heard cars get replicas...like GT40 and Cobra and some Lola replica's...what a great era that was...
thanks

Only one in existence! So glad that it's used and raced rather than wrapped in cotton wool.
Andy Reeves, we salute you clap clap clap

I've said this so often, I'm almost obliged to start producing it:
shout BOOK!!!

But seriously: we need a nice big book filled with 60's and 70's racing pics yes
Lots of pics, as little as possible text. Just the location, the year and who's drivin' what.

Peerless/Warwick? Looks more Italian though.

It's not that Corvette-engined Gordon special is it?

I have a feeling that it might be a Lola of some derivative.. I'lll do some more searching around.

Must admit that was my first thought too, but based on nothing more than a toy car I had about eighteen years ago.
