This is my 1990 Jaguar XJR, which is based on the 'XJ40' XJ6:
500 of these models were made and sold in the UK only. They are becoming quite rare now, with less than 120 thought to still on the road, and there's a lot of neglected examples around.
The early 3.6l cars were built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing and are distinguished by body colour plastic bumpers. The later 4.0l cars like mine were built by Jaguar's 'Jaguarsport' devision.
Changes to the standard XJ6 4.0l models included: Jaguarsport inlet and exhaust manifold, Jaguarsport inlet cam, remapped ECU, 16" Jaguarsport alloy wheels with Pirelli P6000 tyres, full XJR bodykit, Bilstein dampers with uprated shorter springs, thicker anti-roll bar, and Jaguarsport leather interior.
A friend of a friend has one, usually seen parked around the middle of Bath. Had a long lift in it, nice. His is a little shabby now. For something a bit different from the thread norm so far it seems;
Tickford bodied Land Rover Series 1 - Less than 700 made, all but 50 exported, and apparently less than 100 left in the world, and only a handful in this country (1 of which I saw in September up close, and it was stunning), and another one was for sale recently for £40k

Beautiful 1930s 2-seater with a straight-six.
Built to order, estimates vary but fewer than twenty were built (though a few replicas have been created).
One of them (once owned by a family friend many years ago) recently changed hands at auction for £195k.

Lotus Exige (S1). 601 made originally, maybe 400 survive today, perhaps 250 with the original engine (Many have the Honda transplant).This is mine, #126.
Also, plenty of the Elise / S2 Exige sub-models have had limited edition runs over the years. Excluding the ones that are just trim-changes, the mechanically different ones of note are:
S1 Motorsport Elise (which became the Exige for the road) - 62 made I believe
S1 Sport 190 Elise - Circa 200 produced by Lotus or upgraded from standard cars by the factory
S1 Sport 135 Elise - 50 Left the factory (not including factory upgrades)
S1 Sport 160 Elise - 50 SVA cars, ~ 150 WVTA cars
340R - 340 Produced
S2 Sport 190 - ~20-50 made
S2 135R - ~150 Made
S2 Sport 111 - ~30 made
S2 Elise Sports Racer - 199 Made
S2 Exige 240R - 50 Made
There are a few other variants as well, but of less noteworthiness.

2005 Hartge H1 5.0
only a few were build, at least 3 original Hartge and maybe a few still called BMW, lovely litle monster with their 5.0 V8 S62
The HARTGE H1 5.0 was revealed and reveled at the Essen (Germany) Motorshow in December 2004.
Once again the HARTGE engineers created something special by transplanting a BMW 5.0L V8 into the newly released 1 series. And this isn"t your normal BMW V8, as it features modified cylinder heads, revised camshaft, and its own engine software mapping; resulting in an output of 450 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.
To translate this phenomenal power to the ground in the 1 Series, a special drive shaft and 6 speed manual transaxle are installed, along with a new rear sub-frame. With a curb weight of just 1,445 kg (~3200 lbs.), rendering a weight to power ratio of 3.23 kg/hp (7 lb/hp), the H1 catapults from 0-100 km/hr (0-62.5 mph) in just 4,6 sec. The amazing thrust continues to an ultimate top speed of 300 km/h (188 mph).

Despite what the books say, less than 30 of these cars were produced in 1966-68. Thereafter, one or two body/chassis units were produced for enthusiastic customers.
so not that many of this lovely car, later on DARE also sell those with more modern stuf.
