Advocating tipping mud over 4x4s = idiot.

Advocating physical violence as a response = complete idiot.
You can have some as well if you want or are you prepared to allow someone to screw with your motor, stop being so limp wristed and stand up for people damaging your property you spineless cock
You seem like a bright lad svtrick so I feel embarassed to point out that he wasn't saying that at all. Still, threatening violence to everyone on the Internet is an enormously refreshing change of pace.
Maybe a girl/boyfriend would help resolve your anger issues

I can see that going very wrong if he picks on some Phil Mitchell type in a Range Rover.

I imagine too if he picks on some country type by mistake "Summit bad gonna happen to him" involving said countryside living 4x4 driver's retarded buck toothed ginger cousin and a pig. "No one know where he went. He just kinda never came back."

My measure of the tree huggers came with the Newbury Bypass protest. There was a hardcore of protesters at the site with visiting supporters at the weekend. The visitors, wanting to show solidarity with the protesters in residence, left their cars in various parts of Newbury town and walked to the protest site. Not forgetting that the bypass wasn't functioning at this point and all the A34 traffic was still going through the town, this helped the congestion in the town no end.

A local GP was one of the more vocal opponents of the bypass. He had to pass the protest every day to get to and from his practice, and night and morning had his car pelted with mud.

The badly aimed action was particularly difficult for farmers with land adjacent to the bypass route. Having come face to face with a bull in the road one Sunday, the farmer we alerted told us, "I've had my land compulsorily purchased, the protesters come and cut my fences and the cattle get out. What am I going to do when someone gets killed?"

+1 - both of my cars have 4WD (well AWD) - one is so discrete nobody know, the other would upset them though bcos it's a sports car LOL

Doubley so considering the original story is nearly 3 years old which most posters seem to be missing.
You're not suggesting there is a slightly thick, knee-jerk element to ph are you?

I'm not sure I'd use the word 'element', as it seems somehow inadequate. I'd probably go for 'vast slab of morons' or something.

What I hate the most about all this 4x4 beating is this.
Over the past few weeks, down here on the south cost, we have been stuck with the snow and unable to get to work or shop.
The only people un-affected by this have been the 4x4's. I tip my hat to them as they are the ones that for 40 odd weeks of the year they are sneered at by the ignorants that think a battery powered Noddy car is the only way forward (though whats their views on the Lexus 4x4 hybrid?). Didnt see any Pious around for a while though I guess retired folk dont need to get out that often..... smile

My wife fancies a Grand Vitara and we have been looking at them. Now they are not a particularly powerful 2.0ltr car nor heavy (1500kgs or so) yet a 57 plater is hit with £405 rfl. An 07 is £215.
Seeing as the government want people to support the motor industry they have a bloody odd way of doing it. Give with one hand and take back with both. Looks like the newer cars are being hit price wise as the 07 is £500 more!

Knobbers that feel they have the moral high ground to damage anything that I own either better have insurance or run faster than a big stick.

Anyone that agrees with damaging something thats not theirs is just a vandal.

The problem is that having a grudge against "4x4s" is too simplistic. We already covered that. A Suzuki Jimny is a wholly different proposition to a Range Rover V8, and that is a wholly different proposition again to a Fiat Panda 4x4. What about sports cars? Right, it's a stupid argument, and tipping st isn't the way to solve it anyway.

The only reason this guy gets any press at all is because it sells papers to Daily Mail readers.

"Look darling, this nasty little man is going to tip pooh over our Rav 4! What can we do about it?!"

The man is an idiot, and it's not worth getting worked up about, even if you live in Bristol.

I think that everything that Mr Rose has said is reasonable and that he seems to have really rattled your cages to have become so personal in your attacks. Wake up and smell the coffee- we really are living in the Age of Stupid when people won't face up to the seriousness of the threat to all our lives and "lifestyles".
That would be you, and people like you.

Can't really see why 4x4 owners would MIND having mud thrown on their cars - Will save them having to explain why they drive a truck to take the kids to school... smile
