If TVR can't make a living, what chance has this got?

You have to ask yourself why TVR failed (not a dig at anyone) when they built the best looking, relatively cheap, good handleing and very fast sports cars in the UK.

......they were unreliable as sin.

My Tusacn 2 has done 19,000 since new on the 1st of March with no problems!!

Saw it at the Autosport Show - looked ok but panel quality was very dubious - plenty of cellulite. Just cannot be on a £45k car.

Would be much funnier if they started with a Subaru engine in the arse end. Someone did this with an RV8 a long time back but the company disappeared smartish.

right...

and do you think a MORE complicated, MORE technically challenging car is going to be MORE or LESS reliable, than a TVR with a simple Rover V8?

oh nooooooooooooooooooo, f' goodness sake not that old V8 argument again. There should be an entire forum dedicated to people who think that TVR's fortunes would all be restored if they just used a "crated V8"!

Its a real shame when the 4 door saloon it's built on is actually prettier than the 2 door sporty coupe they're trying to sell at almost twice the price.

Won't be dusting off my wallet just yet then...

It's nothing like a Prodrive P2!

Prodrive P2:

-4WD British Sportscar, to seat 2.
-Built of Rally bred technology.
-Built by tuner of donor vehicle.
-Has a two character name, a letter preceding a number.

I know for a fact that the X-Works engineers took their designs
to Prodrive nearly 3 years ago when they were looking for
backers so they cant be accused of copying because they didnt !

So are you saying Prodrive nicked the design from X-Works Engineers?

Who knows, Prodrive may have been Inspired by the Idea, anyway
I think the P2 looks more like the MG SV the rear in particular
but they had the same designer so thats not a surprise.

Is there any further news on this project?

I still really like the concept of a small two-seater "pocket rocket" as a daily driver and my Corrado isn't going to last forever.
