I'm surprised that that contributor was able to get away with the remark that Corsa engines - " are not powerful enough to pull back a Jew's foreskins ". Apart from the Thought Police looking to feel his collar, he is lucky that Lord Greville Janner, who will persecute those who are anti-semitical at the drop of a hat, has notr asked questions in the House and had that forum banned !

Are you saying that Lord Janner is in any way wrong or misguided for for pursuing those who are anti semitic. If yes, why? And if no, how is he persecuting them?
Uh Oh, now you've done it... wink
Ah nothing like a bit of controversy now and again. Just waiting for the chap's respone.

I know somebody who thinks we get heavier when we die. "Otherwise why would there need to be 4 people to carry the coffin, even when it's only a small person's body inside?"

I suppose it would also explain why hearses go so slowly when there's a body inside hehe
Yep, the technical term used to describe this abberation in the laws of physics is "Dead Weight".

I wonder if when he's through putting the seats down he puts four coats of Zymol Royale on his wheels...

The irony is that a lot of the comments on this thread actually hold true. Ok to the degrees on the road where you see a difference, absolutely not, but in racing cars of any sort; abso-bloomin-lutely!

Clean car? Yup, more streamlined.
Less fluids? Of course, why have more weight than needed and more sloshing around than needed? It WILL change the centrifugal gravity effect going around a corner.

The seats though, that's just funny hehe

So, as a driver, it pays to keep your passengers alive. Talk to them, and if they continue to answer, that's good news and your performance won't suffer.

Also, try reclining the seats a bit more, in order to spread the weight and lower the centre of gravity. blabla

Yep, but make sure they use the toilet before starting your journey. You don't want excess fluids and, erm, crap, detracting from your car's performance.

Throw your drivers door open for right handers - moves more weight to inside of corner - and get passenger to do the same with their door on left handers. Throw both doors open and if possible release bonnet on braking. If you get into a bit of sideways action wind side windows down to decrease wind resistance.

ahaahaahaahahaha, classic , 1.2 corsa , typical "thick baseball cap 60mm thick argos chain on the outside of the T shirt" type barry boy.

Talks like it is the F1 championship or something. One way to make that car go faster is for the driver to take the keys out, put them in his pocket amongst his dull papers and fags, get his girlfriend to tie up his shoelaces for him, and run

The guy is definitely a member on here and he now drives an Astra VXR.

There's a thread in the readers cars section where he posted his car and I recognised his screen name so asked him if he was the guy who thought folding the seat down saved weight and he confirmed that was him.

It's definitely that Dizeee guy.

Was he so embarrassed that he dispeared off the face of the earth, taking his VXR with him?

My God, it was frightening enough to think of that guy being in charge of a Kev'd up Corsa 1.2.

The fact that he's now got 240bhp of Astra VXR scares the bejesus out of me.

And is it true that he's a police driver? That could mean lots of things though, he could be a chauffeur for the top brass, not necessarily a TrafPol...

edit: God help us, he's a Traffic Policeman:

Seriously though, how scary is it that someone with that much power can be so clueless?

This is scarey too................................

"By accumulating the recognised police driving skills available (Police Driving Categories), I can then add to them with recognised civilian qualifications (IAM, Rospa e.t.c.). The end result will be an impressive portfolio of achievements. which it is my intention to use as a CV for a professional driving career at some stage in my life. Whether that will be a VIP chauffeur, an ADI or another driving orientated role, remains to be seen."

'Other driving orientated role'......... there looking for lawn mower drivers around here........ if he ducks down on the tractor, maybe with his skills, he could get it cut quicker....... driving

Theres a whole section of his site devoted to test drives, dozens of them. For now. i'll assume that all the dealers were aware that he simply wanted to rag their demonstrators up to 9k revs as he claims for some models. Also interesting to note that he describes the acceleration 'from 80' in a Monaro VXR as being 'like a hot hatch off the line'. Surely in six or seven seconds - like a hot hatch off the line - the Monaro would have been well into 3 figures? I wonder if he would claim in court that he was doing to test himself to know the limits of Monaro VXR getaway drivers.

My personal favourite quote so far is this one (about his experience of the Subaru Impreza):

"As quick as an Evo but more fun and moister on the accelerator."

Is moister even a word?
